So anybody who has cheered a goal is supporting sisu in some way?
again another example of taking an argument to a ludicrous level as it's the only way you can argue against it. Not to mention the fact I've said multiple times its the combination of posts here along with the lack of protest their that gives the apperance of support.
football fans in the majority like to sing, the fact that a thousand + coventry fans can be together without singing sisu out or we want to go home on a reasonably regular basis says something.
i think you should start cheering the opposition's goals only just to prove you're no sisu supporter.
while you're talking nonsence i thought i might as well join in. wouldn't want you getting lonely.
My daughter only came to the odd game, not really her thing yet, but if she wanted to go to sixfields I would sit her down and explain why we shouldnt attend and how it is important to stand up for what you believe in, rather than hide behind her as an excuse to attend. There are other options such as attending away games to get your fix, but there is no right and wrong to parenting we all have our own way. My view is that I want her to grow up balanced and that the easy option isn't always the rift one.
Sorry mate. It's a personal decision but I'll never step foot in the place for a "home" game.
Perhaps it would be worth talking to andreasb as he voiced an interest in doing something last season or maybe torch as he tried something last season.
Protesting in suxfields was definitely a taboo subject last season with suxfielders and the mere suggestion that they could be doing something inside only got them jumping down your neck.
Your a sensible chap and possible the right person to mobilise a protest inside. I'm sure it just needs someone to get the ball rolling.

Stand up for what you believe in as long as I tell you to believe in it!My daughter only came to the odd game, not really her thing yet, but if she wanted to go to sixfields I would sit her down and explain why we shouldnt attend and how it is important to stand up for what you believe in, rather than hide behind her as an excuse to attend. I've also bought my two sons up to think for themselves and to speak their minds! So I feel very proud every time I ask them if they want to come to the pub for a drink and they simply reply "F**k off Dad, you're a pr**k"!!! Love 'em to bits!!! LOL!!!
Well said that man. Just as much as morality has nothing to do with it I should add it's not Political either, just in case some of the swivel eyed libertarian goofballs start thinking of you as their poster boy. (They know who they are).Moral decision. It absolutely is not. Its a choice based on personal commitment to follow a leisure activity that charges money. The fact the club has dicked us about by moving to Northampton makes it hard for some people but morality doesnt come in to it. Dont try an elevate this into some sort of crusade about right and wrong.
If you follow your logic I have just as much right to say you have poor morals for letting down the team in their time of need and that demonstrates lack of character and poor judgement. I would never say that of course though.
**massive thumbs up**there's an argument that the right doesn't have a strong enough political base when it goes full blown neoliberal free market, so has to tap into base emotions such as religion and racism as it can't win the intellectual argument. Again, it's politics of fear, it's been how you motivate people for centuries.
**massive thumbs up**
Bit out of date there Rob, the Kidz'll be wondering.Len Fairclough?
Unfortunately most of my 'jokes' are old. Equally many modern things pass me by too. One Direction and that fool Bieber etc. I simply don't see the point of but I am perhaps a dinosaur. The girls in the office are a constant reminder that I'm not 'with it' when they discuss towie and the like, but I'm not sure I want to be part of it if that's the best thing today.
The sanctimonious drivel spoken on here is wearing me down.
Lets get a few things straight;
Sixfields is a poor ground compared to the Ricoh.
The atmosphere is terrible. It's at best a reserve game when people used to go to reserve games.
All fans who go do not support sisu or "the plan" (whatever that is) just the team over the 90 minutes they are there.
The game being played out will be played our regardless of attendees. The fact players are being signed at least indicates the club has a 2 year future. I lament the day we ever moved into the infernal arena and sold the one asset we had but we must have 2 years. I hope they are in coventry and not sixfields but either way I'm going to as many games as I can.
The team needs supporting. Nothing, NOTHING will change the stance of both sides in this war.
If people go and want to protest then do so but apathy and casual ambivalence is no longer an acceptable argument as isn't nopm.
130 years of history isn't going to be flushed away if people want to continue the support.
No more threads about those going to sixfields - let's let bygones be bygones.
if your happy for child to go sixfields its gonna be hard to tell them why they cant support man utd or chelsea etc i would imagine. they wont see football as a local/community thing.

Alternatively, as I have also brought my son up to stand up for what he believes in, I have also told him to have the conviction to make his own decisions, without the influence of others. If my son wanted to attend Sixfields and was content in his own mind why he wanted to, and I felt he had looked at the full facts, I would take him.
Neither of us have been to Sixfields, but I encourage my kids to have strength of mind to make their own decisions, something that will benefit them greatly in later life.
Eh? Utter nonsense. Continuing to see his team separates him from other kids in his class who support Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal, Man City and even Barcelona FFS.
What? so now you are saying that he is a better fan than the others you mentioned because he gets taken to watch them? (just doing what Nick normally does)
Has anybody come on here and said they think sisu will win the jr? Or that they want them to?Thinly veiled " I haven't been getting much attention since I backed the wrong horse in the JR, so as I don't actually give a toss whether we play in Northampton or Coventry, I'll start an argument about Sixfields" thread.
Christ, even I'm confused. CC4L said taking him to Sixfields would make it easier for him to support someone else. I'm saying that's nonsense. Nothing to do with being a better fan. However, I'm pleased he doesn't support Barcelona or Red Star Belgrade as he wouldn't go and see them very often.
...until we agree a temporary deal to play in Belgrade for three years?
Took my 10 year old to quite a few away games excellent atmosphere were at Walsall Vale Shrews Arsenal - Sixfields from what I gather is souless and would not continue his passion for the sky blues.
I too would take my Son if he wished to go unfortunately I would stay outside till the end of the game to take him home.
Unluckily he has about given up on the City, he never even went to one away game last season.
