The notion of what form action takes is seems slightly off. If someone for instance barely attended games but fires off hundreds of emails for the cause, is that somehow 'more' than someone who'd bought season tickets for years suddenly having to stay away but not take part in protests? I wouldn't say so.
This may be slightly controversial but it does make me laugh that there are people who are trying to claim credit for something that as of yet, hasn't even happened!
If you stand on the hill - fair feckin play to ya, that is a serious commitment to your cause and I admire every one of you and am glad you are there.
If you protested at the council house - fair play to ya, you got off your arse and tried to influence something
If you walked the streets tying ribbons everywhere - fair play for making me think of the situation every time I see one.
If you go to six fields - whilst you may be cast as part of the problem, at least you are committed to doing what you think is right.
I go to sixfields but I've also pleaded with Joy Seppala and Tim Fisher to speak to the council. I've sent email after email to Martin Reeves, I've written to the football league, supporters direct and have continuously tried to understand how the situation could be resolved. So I may be a sixfields regular, but I'm still actually trying to influence a move back to coventry.
I don't agree with us being at sixfields
I don't agree with the tactics employed by SISU
I don't agree with the councils stance
But I choose to watch my team, and use other methods to show how I oppose the situation.
But if all you've done is not turn up, what exactly have you done? Can you prove the lack of revenue has caused this? Or given that SISU were only planning for 3000 anyway do you really think another 1000 less has caused this to happen?
You see this isn't about which tactic has worked, it's about a collective effort. Tim Fisher said on Wednesday that whilst he had a different opinion to a lot of fans, the one thing that he's been blown away by is the efforts and commitment of those on the hill who are prepared stand by what they believe and do that for their club.
if all you've done is nothing, what are you actually doing?

Agree with most of what you say but, presumably everyone who has gone along with the 'Not One Penny More' campaign needs to declare themselves as officially boycotting before they will be given credit for trying to make a difference?
If you stop doing something that you may have done religiously for decades then that very definitely takes some effort and should not be disregarded.....
Yeah fair point, as I said in a later post - it was more a point about whether it's influenced SISU or not. Giving up going is a massive thing - whether it's influenced SISU or not is another question.
Haha - I did cringe a bit when I read that bit back. Was a bit of a grand statement.
Or the fact that 30 people stand on a hill.

Whatever Nick says now he was intimating that the people outside the council house had an effect. I go on the hill none of us on the hill have ever said that we were going to have an influence only people like you have. Why should we have an influence wnen a march of 8000 people was ignored?
I said nobody knows 100% but is it a coincidence that when they protested a statement came out within a couple of hours?
Yeah I know what you're saying, but what I'm really questioning is what influence 2000 fans instead of the aspirational 3000 turning up has had? .
Well, I had a smoke and thought about buying one of those girly KCIC wrist bands for a while......but then thought it was just more non-degradable landfill & decided to have another smoke, this time with a Gin & Tonic........but then I'm a hard-core revolutionary type of fella....
Also, don't underestimate the damage to their reputation, of frequent news reports of poor attendances and disputes, although it might suggest they are 'tough investors' it also might suggest they are a very risky investment.
As indeed is their whole business!
You don't invest in such funds for the safety of it all.
LTCM being the ultimate case in point...
Joy has rang ann and arranged a meeting. Has the lack of support at Sixfields from the majority of fans and the support at the away matches changed sisu options. NOPM is working.
One of the most insulting posts I've ever read!I don't agree with this at all.
I reckon to many, it actually boils down to not being arsed to travel 70+ miles to watch 3rd division football in a shed of a ground on a Sunday.....fuck all to do with "Sisu bullies"...
I think you will find many will go to a Sisu owned Ricoh....probably more than went to the Ricoh last season....lets hope we'll find out soon enough.
LTCM hedge fund.
SISU hedge fund.
As we draw in broad brush strokes here...
Actually Fisher quoted 6- 7000 if the club was successful, so it is likely they budgeted for significantly more than 3k....

Hadn't joy also invited Lucas?

Who made the initial offer for talks and why, suddenly?
I said nobody knows 100% but is it a coincidence that when they protested a statement came out within a couple of hours?
It doesn't piss me off, I just think its a little pointless.
One of the most insulting posts I've ever read!
Do you really think the majority of the boycotters are doing so because of the aggravation of travelling to 'home' games 35 miles away?
Are you saying the majority are too thick to understand when they are being mugged off?
You don't think perhaps the fans of Cov have a set of principles that prohibits them from attending?

Didn't mean it as insulting.....but amazed that you think that's an insulting post when compared to all the other shite that gets posted on here!
If City were currently playing their "home" games at a better class of stadium at 3.00pm on a Saturday, but still 30 odd miles away, I believe the "home" attendance would be at least double what it has been a sixfields.
I think the marked increase in "home" fans at the Notts county game (the 1st to take place on a Saturday) reinforces this belief.
I also think you may be confusing a vocal few on here (this board probably only has about 100 regular posters at a guess) with the vast majority of city fans who just wanna go to the pub & the footy with their mates on a Saturday.
I'd suggest a lot of fans just can't be arsed with the combination of travelling to a shit venue every second sunday....
....Just like about the missing 18,000-20,000 that couldn't be arsed, week in, week out, to go to the Ricoh on a Saturday until the whiff of a JPT Wembley trip cropped up....
.....or the fact that 5,000 attended the gentle weekend protest stroll around the City in the summer months, but a few months on & how many could be arsed to go on the hill....30 ish, how many outside the council...25?
...how many outside the FL offices....3?
Kid yourselves all you like that the vast majority are boycotting due to strict principles......sure, principles are involved, but NOPM just happens to be a very convenient principle for those with other plans on a sunday.
For the record: I have not & will not attend Sixfields.
This is nothing to do with Sisu & everything to do with the fact that its about 150 miles from my home & it looks like I'll have a really shit time if I went there.
PS: I haven't been to the Ricoh since 2006 for the same reasons....over 2 hours drive each way & a shit experience. I still attend about 10 away games per season.
