As a side note I did see last night that Israel is planning to take charge of the northern part of the Gaza Strip after they’ve finished whatever it’s supposed to be doing now. Think it was an Israeli general saying it in an interview.Nearly 11,000 dead Palestinians since the Hamas terror attacks in Israel.....
Over 4000 dead Palestinian children.
Over 25,000 seriously injured Palestinians
2 million innocent oppressed people forcibly displaced, starved & bombed from their homes.
Israeli leader clearly stating they will annex, occupy & steal the territory, despite the too little, too late whispers from the West calling for restraint....
......But according to our home secretary, its a hate march......
The only hate I've got is for her.....Fuck you Braverman.....I hope you get cancer of the c**t!
Will be if no one else is there won’t it?Interesting that if it kicks off at the weekend it's instantly the "gammons" fault.
yep, the march goes nowhere near the cenotaph so if it kicks off there it will be the 1 group who are going there's faultWill be if no one else is there won’t it?
But then the argument is that that plays into Israel's hands long term.On this pro ceasefire must mean pro Hamas bullshit. The reality is that Israel’s continued attacks on Gaza will ultimately prove to be the best recruitment aid Hamas has had in decades. Not just in Gaza but also in the West Bank which mercifully has managed to remain largely peaceful. I can easily imagine that hezbollahs recruitment is having a bounce at the moment too.
So in fact being anti peace march could be construed as pro Hamas. Given that it promotes Israeli aggression which in turn promotes Hamas recruitment.
she wants to get sacked so she can kick start her campaign to be leader of the opposition, even nadine dorries has said thisI can’t believe the Home Secretary has given a press statement rather than meeting and agreeing a process with the police
Id say fuck it if I was the chief of the met
Fuck you home Secretary you are making my job impossible and also and much worse how the hell can we expect the police to do an independent job under this level of pressure
Im gobsmacked

currently the far right who seem to see the need to defend an area from a march that is heading in the opposite directionWho are the 1 group?

you have been told this so many times
Well its not anti hamas is it, that's for sure.

What the fuck you on about? The only people who have anything planned near the LONDON cenotaph are the far right. We are not talking about normal people in the area, just the organised "protest" there. So it is only the far right who will be near the cenotaph on remembrance day?
Dread to think about all of the far right nazis walking through Bedworth this Saturday.
Surely you are doing the same as somebody saying anybody who marches supports Hamas and terrorism?
So it's a peace march that not anti hamas and only targets Israel. I'm sure the Jews are really feeling the peace and love. Why would it be? Were the Iraq war protests anti-Al Quieda? You protest what’s happening and what your government can influence.
Well, yup, if the march is going nowhere near the cenotaph and the EDL types are turning up AT the cenotaph. Will be if no one else is there won’t it?

It really doesn't target both sides, I think it's pretty clear. Also our government doesn't know what day of the week it is, what the fuck are they going to influence in the middle east? It’s a ceasefire march. So it “targets” both sides in that way. But the only people actively killing the other side at the moment are Israel AFAIK and they’re doing it with support of our government. The aim of the march is to change the UK government (and opposition) position.
Just seems a bit weird to demand a march against a foreign terrorist group rather than the government of the day. When has that ever happened?
Think you are missing the point a bit here, Nick.So it is only the far right who will be near the cenotaph on remembrance day?

Netanyahu has for a long time in Israel (not every Jew in Israel subscribes to the right wing populists agenda, by a long shot) been described as a Hamas enabler. He actively promoted them to separate Gaza from the West Bank by backing Hamas over the PLO, he’s been Hamas’ greatest recruiter for a good while now in at least a political sense which ultimately was always going to help the radical, terrorist arm of Hamas. The only question is has this come back to bite him or has this been part of a larger plan all along to force Palestinians out of Gaza. Given they’re already saying that they intend to occupy it at least in part. But then the argument is that that plays into Israel's hands long term.
If more of the Palestinians get forced towards extremist ends like Hamas then Israel can say with ever increasing legitimacy that there is a large section of the Palestinian people who sympathise/support Hamas and are therefore legitimate terrorist targets so their actions are necessary. Which leads to even more attacks on Palestinian areas, people fleeing and Israel taking over those territories.
And for me that is the ultimate aim of their current actions - to remove Palestine and have the entire area as Israel.

It’s pro Palestine because it’s Palestinian kids getting the shit bombed out of them right now. What would a pro Israel march even be asking for at this point? “Don’t do it again”?
tbf, this is not the inevitable Israeli response. There have been plenty of Israeli responses that have elicited limited protest in comparison with now. There was never any sign of such a march though was there? Few celebrations mind you. Also just a bunch of people waiting for the inevitable Israeli response so they had a good excuse to dig out the old Palestine flag and piss around in Central London.
No point in going round in circles though, I respect your opinion and you put it across better than most.

It's way, way past self defence now isn't it. Ridiculously so.Well quite. But that’s the aim. It targets the people currently doing the bombing and refusing a ceasefire TBF.

The idea seems to be we should be fine with what Israel are currently doing because “something something self defence” and that anyone who doesn’t like daily images of dead kids on their social media feed supports terrorists.
Like this isn’t a new thing. As I said look at every anti war protest ever. You protest the side your government is supporting.
I’m genuinely glad that my stepdads dad isn’t here to see this. He was a hero of WW2 and I know first hand that he didn’t fight the war so a load of pound shop black shirts turn up at the cenotaph causing trouble, pretending to be patriots when they’re actually nationalists, disturbing people who are genuinely their to pay respects to those who fought for their country. He was a Londoner and it was witnessing the far right in the battle for cable street that drove him to join the army 3 years ahead of WW2 as even as barely a young man he could see the writing on the wall with fascists. So it is only the far right who will be near the cenotaph on remembrance day?

It’s mental. They’re never going to defeat Hamas like this. I remember when we defeated the Taliban, whatever happened to those guys.Just want anyone at all to say what the end game is here for Israel. Because “keep bombing until there’s no one left nearby who doesn’t like us” seems…suboptimal.

Yup. So many are saying this is just going to make things much worse. It's just going to breed more terrorists and more hatred of Israel and the West. It’s mental. They’re never going to defeat Hamas like this. I remember when we defeated the Taliban, whatever happened to those guys.

The organised rememberance events at the cenotaph are on the day after
What the fuck does Bedworth have to do with something that is happening in London?
It is Remembrance Day, you said the only people who will be there are the far right.
I referenced Bedworth on Remembrance Day who I assume are also all far right?
Was gonna say, hasn't he been for a pint at the Newdigate Arms!I mean, having moved to Bedworth recently…..
Think you are missing the point a bit here, Nick.
The march organisers have given the police their route and it goes nowhere near the cenotaph.
Fuelled by the likes of Braverman and the Mail, the far right have said they are going to go down to the cenotaph.
So, pretty much, it will just be the EDL there.
Was gonna say, hasn't he been for a pint at the Newdigate Arms!
