There is plenty the West could do about it if they wanted to but shamefully we are still giving the green light to Israel. We are so on the wrong side of history and have lost any moral authority to criticise Russia's actions in Ukraine.International Court of Justice has issued its provisional ruling on the genocide case brought by South Africa. Of course, the IDF will simply ignore it and there is little anyone can do about it other than tut and shake their heads!
Here are the provisional measures the court has made:
The court also expressed grave concern about the fate of hostages being held by Hamas and called for their immediate release.
- Israel must take all measures to prevent any acts that could be considered genocidal - killing members of a group, causing bodily harm, inflicting conditions designed to bring about the destruction of a group, preventing births
- Israel must ensure its military does not commit any genocidal acts
- Israel must prevent and punish any public comments that could be considered incitement to commit genocide in Gaza
- Israel must take measures to ensure humanitarian access
- Israel must prevent any destruction of evidence that could be used in a genocide case
- Israel must submit a report to the court within one month of this order being given

We’re paying the price of Empire and unfortunately security at home is linked to the Middle East and Gulf states. Although I would agree that getting involved in 2 Gulf wars are probably the biggest mistake that the UK has made in modern history and did nothing for security at home, the opposite if anything is true.
