Do not recollect Guardian covering the second wrong, will have a look.

I'll help. It's not that difficult.

The first wrong was Hamas crossing the border and killing around 1,400 people including women and children. They've still got around 100 hostages or so, it is believed.

The second wrong is the Israeli state killing over 20,000 people, including thousands of women and children, and in effect holding millions hostage.

Both these things have been fully reported in the Guardian and elsewhere, so either you're a bit daft or you're trying to make a point. Both are possible, I guess.

What are you on about your utter tit. That article was graphic and balanced about the horror of the Hamas attack.
You appear to revel in violence, spilling of blood, hatred and division. As you must full well know, its a shit show all round from violent parties on both sides. Just the peaceful innocent people who are impacted the most. Carry on getting your information from GBNews though.

And there you have it.

He won’t be happy until Israel fully occupies Palestinian.
Will probably help path the way to the west accepting the occupation of Ukraine too.

Eventually someone is going to have to grow a spine and start pointing out we need to draw a line somewhere.

What was all this bollocks about him saying that Israel would control the security within Gaza after the war is over? Unilaterally? In contravention of UN Security Council resolutions? I don't think so, pal!

At least the international community implicitly admit it is genocide

What utter fucking bollocks.

So now if you have a crime committed against you it's ok for you to commit that crime.

Surely if you've suffered that crime then of all people you should be wanting to ensure it doesn't happen again. I assume that under the same idea Japan could drop a nuclear weapon on the USA and that'd fine?

Fucking hell. The murderous bastards. There are few things that upset me in the news, but that has got me.
That is a war crime, NO two ways about it.

International Court of Justice has issued its provisional ruling on the genocide case brought by South Africa. Of course, the IDF will simply ignore it and there is little anyone can do about it other than tut and shake their heads!

Here are the provisional measures the court has made:

  1. Israel must take all measures to prevent any acts that could be considered genocidal - killing members of a group, causing bodily harm, inflicting conditions designed to bring about the destruction of a group, preventing births
  2. Israel must ensure its military does not commit any genocidal acts
  3. Israel must prevent and punish any public comments that could be considered incitement to commit genocide in Gaza
  4. Israel must take measures to ensure humanitarian access
  5. Israel must prevent any destruction of evidence that could be used in a genocide case
  6. Israel must submit a report to the court within one month of this order being given
The court also expressed grave concern about the fate of hostages being held by Hamas and called for their immediate release.

There is plenty the West could do about it if they wanted to but shamefully we are still giving the green light to Israel. We are so on the wrong side of history and have lost any moral authority to criticise Russia's actions in Ukraine.

The ICJ's rulings are binding but there is no mechanism for them to be enforced, apparently.

It's a bit like the French passing a law saying that you have to carry breathalysers in your car but never actually enforcing it! I won't bother carrying any then!

I've never fully understood the Israel - Palestine conflict and this is my first post on this thread but I have to say what Israel have done in response to Hamas is truly terrible, irrespective of what Hamas did in the first place.
I liken it to this :
Someone in your street kills a member of your household. You don't know who did it but you know someone in the street is harbouring them. So you decide to kill every single individual who lives in your street because at least you know you are guaranteed to kill the murderer. So you end up wiping out hundreds.

I've known of some terrible wars since vaguely remembering Vietnam as a kid. This war is shocking beyond belief. It will spawn a new generation of terrorists against Israel for the next 50 years who will never forgive them for killing so many innocent people.

We should have nothing to do with the Middle East. Stay within our own borders and ensure security at home

We shouldn’t have and now the situation is worsening with US on a crash course to another conflict with Iran

We’re paying the price of Empire and unfortunately security at home is linked to the Middle East and Gulf states. Although I would agree that getting involved in 2 Gulf wars are probably the biggest mistake that the UK has made in modern history and did nothing for security at home, the opposite if anything is true. The 2nd Gulf war especially, like most of the UK I’d like to see Blair in The Hague.

More war crimes:

CCTV footage showed members of an undercover unit disguised as medics and other civilians making their way through a corridor with rifles raised.
Is this not exactly what they have accused the Palestinians of doing and used as an excuse for bombing hospitals and all sorts of civilian buildings?
