Israel - Palestinian Conflict (6 Viewers)

This morning I decided to watch Piers Morgan discuss the conflict with Corbyn, I then watched him discuss it with Andrew Tate. I actually thought Tate fought the Palestinian corner far better than Corbs, which i think says more about Jezza than anything else.

He was briefly a Communist, a lot of the senior Party members were, quite different to Mussolini, and I am sure a lot of them were opportunistic, after all it is all just a power grab, I have seen it described as Socialism of the Race rather than Socialism of the Class, it was all about the Party. Hitler, Stalin, Mao they all had a lot in common with each other,

Michael Gove was briefly a communist. Claire Fox was a radical anarchist. This is entirely relevant.

You like dogs, right? Hitler loved dogs too. So using your logic you share his same murderous, fascist, Nazi views.

See how stupid your point is?

What’s stupid is you believing he loved dogs when he just posed with them and old Eva to look normal

Next you’ll be telling me he was a vegetarian- he wasn’t - it’s another urban myth

I really don't think he was. But even if he was, that doesn't take away from the fact that he quite clearly was a Fascist.

Whats the difference between fascism and communism in your considered view?

Interesting that you took greater umbrage with Hitler being called a dog lover than you being called a fascist.

The video in question has now been removed with the BBC calling it an editing error

Seems like an easy mistake to make without knowing the process, same as when the wrong name comes up on a chevron.

For those that would beat the BBC for it, would your preferred outlet have rectified and explained such a mistake the same way?

No but the bbc shouldn’t be jumping the gun on such a sensitive issue and be extra careful. we all know what it’s like, once the info is in someone’s echo chamber they’re unlikely to see the edited/correct version. Like from memory the bbc pretty much used hamas as their initial source of that hospital bombing….at least explain/be clear about sources so people can judge whether they’re likely to be accurate (I think they’re doing this now) etc. I chuckled when Dave mentioned bbc verify yesterday !

There’s been so much BS and misinformation on both sides, feeding the hatred, that credible news outlets should be extra cautious with what they print or show on tv.

What gun was jumped? Looking at it it’s a total mismatch of translations so likely a tech error if anything.

I think people jump on any tiny mistake of BBC bias for political reasons TBH

Of course if the media does do this, it inevitably gets accused of being “too scared” to report on things that appear obvious to some people, like Israel being responsible for the hospital bombing, or an Albanian refugee being responsible for the Dublin stabbing.

Agreed. It’s such a fine balance and the pressure due to 24 hour news probably means it’s difficult to be checking everything thoroughly but inaccurate info from credible news sources, of which the bbc is maybe one of the few left, isn’t likely to help

posting something that’s incorrect /inaccurate ?

I’m sure sure that’s jumping the gun for me, I’ve always taken that to mean taking a decision too early before the facts are available. Not just fucking up which subtitle file applies to which video.

I agree to an extent. But this is the same logic of all criticism of centrist/progressive organisations. “You must be perfect otherwise you’re just as bad as these biased/fringe sources because they don’t even try to be perfect.”

Everyone makes mistakes. It’s like footballers. I’m less likely to see something Godden does well than MvE because of my biases. That doesn’t mean either should change their game.

Most recent chapter is about the us and uk response to 9/11 when given the choice to go after the relatively small group of Saudi born islamists guilty of the attack but chose instead to carpet bomb Iraq and remove saddam hussein on the lie that he could do something similar in the future

Huge similarities for me with Israel’s actions

The enemy of Israel are Islamist’s in Hamas and other groups in Gaza and the West Bank. Why are we so rubbish at looking at the history books and thinking they’ll be a different outcome to the same actions as before?

Israel killed hundreds of those who attacked and have known and know the Islamist leaders and although it would take longer to do the bonus would be that the world would have no issue taking out those guilty of the monstrous acts

This isn’t even getting on to the issue of occupying another’s land which has never led to peace or prosperity
