It was far worse, the Derby game we were on top in the game but conceded soft goals. We were completely battered at Portsmouth and well beaten.I thought the performance at Portsmouth was really poor in the 2nd half but certainly no worse than the performance against Derby at the CBS.
Clearly Frank Lampard needs time before being judged and also worth mentioning (not seen it mentioned anywhere tbh) is he doesn't as yet have Haji Wright available.... makes a big difference having the leading goalscorer in your team.
I'm sure we will see some activity in the January transfer window to try to improve the defence... it's piss poor currently.
Only idiots are saying we have gone backwards because of one bad game mind youDon't think it would have been unreasonable of King to expect to beat Cardiff and Portsmouth. Those extra points would have seen us 10th, just 7 points off the play offs with half the season remaining.
If we were in that position and King came out and said we weren't spending in January as there was no chance of play offs people would be losing their minds on here.
Not really sure that the aim when we changed manager was to be sat here a few weeks later arguing if our latest performance was bad enough to be classed as the worst in years or if we can find one that was worse.
I was at the game. It was
Why would we expect to beat Portsmouth? They have had a good home record?
Strange comment
Before Saturday they had the worst home record in the leagueWhy would we expect to beat Portsmouth? They have had a good home record?

We've hardly gone forwards though and that was the apparent objective.Only idiots are saying we have gone backwards because of one bad game mind you
Entitled to your view. Personally when going to play the side that is rock bottom of the league, has only managed 2 home wins all season and scored a grand total of 9 goals I'm not taking a 4-1 defeat as a sign of great improvements being made. Why would we expect to beat Portsmouth? They have had a good home record?

He's had the job for about a fucking month manWe've hardly gone forwards though and that was the apparent objective.
So you didn't go then ?There’s no way that match was as bad as Portsmouth. In fairness it was in the middle of a run of 4 losses on the trot which was pretty depressing, but as a one off match I’d argue Portsmouth was much worse.
So you didn't go then ?
Mythical game ? What bollocks. I was absolutely specific regarding this game. Yet again did you even watch the game I specifically mentioned last season ? Unbelievable.Go where? When? There’s a 50% chance I did go to this mythical game you’re on about but seriously what difference does it make? Is there now a rule that anyone who doesn’t physically attend a certain game has no right to voice an opinion, and if they do that opinion is automatically wrong?
Portsmouth was abject, just totally abject. There was nothing after the first few mins to suggest we had any idea of what were supposed to be doing. I get the agenda, we all see it, but just call it as it is. Early days for sure, but surely a management team vaunted for their tactical expertise should be able to get a bit more out of these players than we’ve seen so far?
No I wasntYou were gloating after the Portsmouth game.
I don’t think that just because someone watched a game on TV means their view is automatically invalid? So you didn't go then ?

I go to about 3 games a season as i live a 12 hour flight away but would like to think i’m more reasoned than half the horse shit on here

100% correct.
In fact, I think watching on TV gives you a clearer view of the on the ball action.
Being in the ground allows you to watch the off the ball stuff better which you don't get to see on TV.
Even watching from different parts of the ground gives a totally different perspective
Does seem it but in reality two of those happen within 6 months. Just think the rebuild job is quite a large one. I think we need 4-5 players. But that’s into the existing squad. You have to imagine we’ll lose at least 2-3 of those currently in the starting 11. That leaves you needing the thick end of a new team.I respect your views, but really 3 or 4 windows, two years? Maybe you’re right and it’s impatience, I dunno, but that seems like an eternity.
ironyIf Robins was in charge you'd have been saying they're in the bottom 3 we should be beating them. The agenda is so fucking obvious.
100% correct.

Erm, no.
We were playing the team 3rd from bottom and with the second worst home record (not good home form as you say).
We were odds on favourites with the bookies to win.
There was a lot of expectation that we would win the game.
Not lose 4 fucking 1.
Even by this forums standards its bizarre to see last seasons 9th place be dismissed as 'we only beat teams below us' while at the same time suggesting its an unrealistic expectation to want a win against the bottom side who have only won 2 at home all season
I’m sure we were the bookies favourites to beat Sheffield Wednesday and Derby at home.
Given your previous ranting on Lampard (which in itself was strange on a ccfc forum) it’s pretty obvious this is the way it’s going to be at every defeat
agenda pretty obvious
- win against the likes of Plymouth and Portsmouth - they are shite and we’d have beaten then anyway
- lose - wed have done better under robins
- wherever we end up this season - we’d have done better under Robins

see I can respect this- solid argument. No lies, no silly insults, no gaslighting- fair enough
I don’t know if this is lost on you or you just don’t care, but your agenda is just as big, shiny & obvious as those you’re attempting to go after here.
Lol says the bloke who only surfaces when we lose to make up shit.
I love the mythical game post and there’s a 50% chance you’d have seen it
Keep ‘em coming, it makes me smile when you get all wound up
We really don't need 4-5 players, not starters anyway.Does seem it but in reality two of those happen within 6 months. Just think the rebuild job is quite a large one. I think we need 4-5 players. I’m hardly wound up. It just makes me (and others) laugh at your very obvious agenda. It’s not even subtle.
The only place to avoid if you want to have any idea what’s going on is the match thread on here
Both of your preconceptions about Lampard are pretty odd tbhGiven your previous ranting on Lampard (which in itself was strange on a ccfc forum)
