First side to be bottom @ Christmas and survive!!!!!
We can do this....
Everybody keeps sayin "but its Coventry. We will choke"
Ya feckin right were Coventry, but. Ya wrong, we gonna fight this til the end. See it thru, stay up and survive.... Why???

Cos were Coventry. That's why!!!!

Cheer up it doesn't matter how we do it or with who does it for us, as long as we survive...
Pusb

Is that actually true about being 1st to survive after being bottom at Christmas? I was thinking about whether it had been done before and thought it must have been? The bigger accomplishment would be how far behind we were at that point!

Yes it is. Some of you belong elsewhere perhaps GMK might be a more appropriate place for name calling and getting personal?

Accept differing opinions, try and see why those other opinions are held?

If someone else's viewpoint is not yours OK but you can't force your own down peoples throats because you don't think it's right?
In the same way you disagree it's the other that disagree's with you just as much. Think about that from your high horses.

After today we were always going to get AT lovers and hail the brilliance of the man etc etc. It's OK to to take a wider look at it as a season long view and equate it slightly differently which does not mean I or anyone else is an AT hater.

Forums are here for a reason....it's good to talk and learn sometimes...

Sorry all. Being on the net is not easy. Insult after insult. Having to take insults from faceless people is not easy. We win. Still problems with our team. The team I love. Why do half of us bother when the other half seem to want to pull us down all the time.

Well I guess he had to undo the crap he sowed earlier in the season, still a scout in managers clothing he should be out of a job even if we stay up IMHO

A forum is for exchanging views without them it's not a forum, being a sheep isn't clever just look at all of them with fuel tanks full despite no drivers strike.

I remember the game at the Ricoh against Hull in December, where I thought we were going down without a fight, and where I thought Andy Thorn had no clue - he played Gary Gardner, an attacking midfielder, at the base of the diamond, and didn't change things round at all even when we went behind.
Having said that, at the start of the season, I truly thought we would go down with the lowest points total ever.
So, its absolutely brilliant to say that the reverse fixture v Hull today has made me feel that we can escape, that Andy Thorn has really turned things around, building what appears to be a great team spirit, and that hopefully we keep some of the players who are coming to the end of their contracts and kick on next year........

No I was referring to having a difference of opinion,I would take no joy in us going down but in the same vein I wouldn't applaud AT as if he's won the Jules Rimet if we stay up

dont play the victim astute

the likes of me and otis have said numerous times how we are happy the team are winning and thorn is improving,we want the man to be most successfully manager ever ffs

but you cannot let it go that you liked him earlier than us(even though we still stand by our reasons ffs) you are being a forum nazi, noone is always going to agree with you,if you feel offended everytime that happens maybe you should leave

andy thorn is making good decisions now, fair play and im delighted

lets hope we can stay up and next year he can continue to improve and have a full season of good management

Its a shame that Thorn making right decisions has to be equated with just winning or losing.
IMO he has always been making good decisions it is just that he has now been able to make some actual decisions that affect games as he has players fit and was allowed to sign some loanees.

Or are we saying he made bad decisions when he took over last season. Lost his best players over the summer. Then happened to make a load of good decisions. Was allowed to sign a couple of players in January. Senior pro's return from injury. Then he happens to start making good decisions again.

I dont think it is as black and white as we win he made good decisions we lose he has made bad ones. You have to look at the whole picture and the circumstances of the club.

I'm not getting into this argument with anyone - it's been debated time and again and clearly there are differences of opinion.

That said I stick by what I've said. Thorn has been responsible for no away wins all season (until today) that has put us in the bottom three.
The team are better than that. Finally the last month he seems to have got a few more things right than wrong and may yet save our bacon when all looked doomed.

If suddenly just because you think we have a squad 'ripped apart' he is not a little culpable in the first place then you sir are delusional.

As I said not spoiling the day here but please keep it real. 6 unbeaten is great now. It does show the squad is not that bad. AT's lack of achievement with it up until last month has put us where we are.

Now we are out I hope we stay out. I see no reason why we wouldn't.

All this dont spoil the day rubbish by people. It is a great day. I love having a debate on here. Just because people have different views why the hell are people saying dont ruin it just celebrate.
Someone comes on here and still blames Thorn it does not ruin my complete and utter joy of today.
I just debate with them that I think they are wrong and why.

That to me is what forums are all about.

Paxman I am not saying you are saying the ruin the day bit by the way, I have had the comment on other threads.
I am still enjoying the day even if I am having a debate about Cov

We all love CCFC
Just not each other :)

I dont see a problem with having different views.

To me that is what a forum is all about. Dont get it when people start calling each other morons, idiots, dick head etc.

Also and this might be a bit sad of me I dont think we should have that wanker icon available on here either.

It pissed me off when someone attached it to one of my posts.

I love debating on here, its enjoyable.

A few people have changed my views on a few things. I still hate SISU but understand a little bit more about what they may be trying to do, even if I dont agree with the speed and manner in which they are trying to do it.

It amazes me that people dont think Thorn is the best man for the job. But then I enjoy trying to find out why and discussing it.

Dont get why that needs to end up abusive though or people suggesting you are a WUM for your views.

If you disagree dont call someone a moron, WUM, Put a wanker sign next to my post etc.

Not that I lose that much sleep over it though :)

But I do think you can still debate and celebrate a great result :D

That is exactly what I would expect from a moronic dickhead.

Everyone is going to learn in the job. Sure AT made some poor choices earlier in the season but if he's making better ones now great. Doesn't matter who was right or wrong lets just keep supporting the lads and hope they can squeeze out of this mess !!!!

We must back up this result with two great ones over Easter, otherwise it counts for little.

I honestly believe that if we can get three wins from the games with Doncaster, millwall, Peterborough and Bristol, with one being over Bristol, we will stay up.

you are assuming im not looking at the whole picture

its too simplistic to put bad results down to bad squad and good results down to thorn

its got to be a mixture, yet anyone who dares say thorn put even one foot wrong at any point in the season is immediatly seen as a negative fan who bullys the innocent thorn fans

everyone has stuff that they angers them, for me its people who bitch and moan about gunnar going when he wasnt that good for us,or the people who slated cody non stop whilst sucks ALF dick, but thats a footy forum for you,im not gonna bring it up in every single thread thats created from now on

why cant we have shades of grey i ask?

urmmmm how have i done that exactly??????????

your the one who just said its just playing experience that makes the difference, ive actually praised thorn

hummmmmmmmm

look through my posts and you will see i am balanced mate

Fair play to you mate, you have been a lot more balanced of late. I think you're fighting someone else's argument in this debate: I only said I thought Paxman's post was a bit of a wind up as he posted it and didn't follow it up, leaving everyone else to articulate their outrage..a bit like cutting a smelly fart then sneaking out of the room? ;)
