Unless a signing is the nailed on right one for us I'd rather we don't make any permanent signings in this window, as I think there will be many more options of players to buy in the Summer. Loans are a different matter, but presuming we don't lose any of our better players I still wouldn't be too unhappy to go with what we have for the rest of the season.

Yeah, agree with this. Been thinking the same.

There is no team in the world paying that much for him.
Well he shouldn't be sold. Simple as that, why would we let him go for less? These clubs have ridiculous amounts of money in the Prem and Gala do.

If they wanna come in for a player during a the Jan window, they will be paying an absolute premium. It's as simple as that.

We sold Gyokeres for 20 million and you want only 5 million less for a right back? Just because these teams have money doesnt mean they will spend that much on an unproven championship right back. He will be sold this summer its fairly obvious but if you think we are getting anywhere near your figure then you will be massively disappointed.

Sporting Lisbon aswell as all of us, never expected Gyokeres to hit the heights that he has since the move. Had we known this, we wouldn't have sold him for 20 million, that's a fact.

Dewsbury-Hall was sold for €35.4 million euros

Tom Cannon has signed for Sheffield United for just under €12 million euros.

I ain't budging on this mate, we should he dragging this out until we get €15 million.

We have Wright, Sheaf and MVE who imo will be the 3 players we sell in order to rebuild and actually be able to really challenge.

I look those 3 players and we should be getting around 35 million when all is said.

Let's see tho.

Shouldn't be entertaining offers for MVE from any clubs outside of the Premier League unless it's substantially higher than €14 million euros.

As for clubs in Premier League, Fulham are more than welcome to MVE, offers to begin at £14 million pounds plus £2 million pound once MVE reaches 100 club appearances and a 10%sell on fee.

This should be where we are at, whether we have someone lined up or not. Bringing the 2 lads back from loan has is irrelevant, we can always play Eccles, Lat, Sakamoto, Burroughs, Dasilva.

We should drag the sale right to the last minute of the window and earn as much money as possible. I couldn't care less if we end up without cover. We aren't going up and we aren't going down, we must earn a minimum of 15 million sterling with add ons.
Agree with most of this except the last bit “We aren’t going up and we aren’t going down” - a couple more wins on the bounce and we are among the play-off picture for starters!
2 or 3 defeats on the bounce and we are in a relegation scrap - we need not only to hang on to our best players but we need reinforcements in January for either of the two scenarios above!

All rather hypothetical, if he goes it will be at the end of the season.

Bang on play offs alongside Burnley Sunderland us and 1 more meaning we ain't going up.

Relegation > not happening

We sell our best players we will be receiving a ridiculously inflated price.

MVE 15-17 million quid and Fulham have a deal. Or he stays put and we unfortunately won't he able to go and buy 2 decent players.

I really don't see it any other way. In retrospect we should have sold gyok for 35 million, but none of us knew he would become a fucking Erling Haaland regen.

And the same goes for MVE, for all we know he becomes a Roberto Carlos regen, so with that in mind 15-17 mill is the ballpark.

So based on all the hypothetical comments how does this justify your ridiculous value of Milan? Strikers are getting purchased for less than you want for a right back. To entertain you tho...sheaf will have a year left so getting nowhere near the money you expect, Milan maximum 10 mil and that's a stretch, then wright is the only high value asset. Nowhere near 35 million in total.

I agree with you on this, but I will play devil's advocate.

Our financial situation was very different when Gyokeres was sold. With a big squad rebuild about to take place. One could argue we aren't as desperate at this time although I still think 10-12 million for Milan is a good deal.

Djed Spence had a fantastic season when he went to Tottenham for a similar amount.

MVE’s season has probably been a 6/10 max. His performances hasn’t warranted those types of fees

12 million for him is an incredible deal. For that we could get another Wright and MVE from Europe. They cost just over 12 mil combined, allegedly.

£14 mil for MVE
£15 mil for Wright
£6 mil for Sheaf

You might go nuts at my valuation for Sheaf but the guy is injury prone to the point where for me.his value has dropped.

MVE plays week in week out, never Injured, sure has had a tough season, but we all know he's a top player.

Wright for £15 would be a decent fee, doubling our money for a player that will maintain his current level, can't see him getting any better, where as MVE I can see the Premier League being absolutely perfect for a player like MVE.

Sheaf is fair but there is no world where wright is only a million more than Milan. It's clear he is your favourite player and this may be clouding your opinion

I think you’re ignoring the position premium…. Clubs will always pay more for strikers

I've always wondered why that is, it's much harder to find quality wingbacks than strikers

Does anyone know how much Thomas-Asante actually cost? When iFollow was stuck on Blackburn commentators on Saturday, one of them said that he cost us in excess of £4m +add-ons. I thought the general feelingwas that is was £2.

By the way, their commentary was awful. So much worse than what we get. Really dull and seemingly uninterested, similar vibes to their fans from what I could hear. So glad that isn't my club.
They were clueless

£15m 🤣🤣

He hasn’t even been amazing this year. I’d take 10.

Are we signing our prospects too old?

Feel like we should be picking them up U20 so after a couple of years they’re still sold with potential and not in their mid twenties.

Bassette is miles off the level but closer to the right age. Or are all the young players with potential snapped up by big clubs too early and not let go until they’re 23?

There was a piece on the telegraph from lamps about the club targeting U21 non league players with potential.

Lampard saying plan is to improve the U21s and get players who can break into the first team.

We already have that to some effect. We lost a couple of good prospects in the summer, One to Man City. Probably a touch too young to make any money, but it shows that the bigger clubs poach our talented youngsters.

Cant see Wright going on the summer

Long injury lay off, also had a stint out last year

Plus, we have a year option on him were will.of course activate..so he will have 3 years left

The 2 that will deffo go this summer for decent money will be Sheaf and Milan

Will get close to 20 for the pair I reckon
Can’t disagree with that. Although don’t think it’s as big a rebuild job so should be more than enough for Lamps to put a stamp on the squad

Duly noted on the ITK scorecard.📋 Big bonus incoming if you have got all of those correct.

I think that’s a fair analysis and probably the most likely outcome. The only thing I worry about with Wright is him potentially forcing a move if a prem club or bigger European club comes in. Regardless of how long he’s got left on his contract if he wants to go he can make it happen. In that scenario we should get a good deal for him regardless.

Hopefully the players we bring in the summer should MVE and/or sheaf go first will be on a better level than perhaps we’ve seen previously to make players think we’ve got another genuine crack at going up and make them want to stay.

Another 5 wins to get to 50 points, if we didn't get those by the end of the season I'd be very surprised.
