No he was offside in their half but came back from the offside position and "interfered" with the ball (which is the offence) back in our half. The freekick is where the offence (interfered with the ball/play) happened. I think this just have been changed when we stopped just giving offsides for offsides and started waiting to see if there was any interference in play.So our player was in our own half and was off side?
