Some loan players I would consider:

RB - Max Aarons
CB - Jake O'Brien
CM - Ryan Sessegnon

We then need to buy some experienced heads that are Championship level and have a bit of leadership quality in them
Id be going for Dan Bentley (GK) at wolves potentially also - that would mean potentially forcing one of the current 3 out, but its such a mess it needs it.

I doubt it we would sign a 4 th GK , just give Dovin a chance.
Agree I doubt will happen, but it's a mess. Why is Dovin not being picked? What led us to recruit him? Granted he hadn't done a lot wrong and played in front of a chocolate fireguard.

I would have gone after Bentley in summer - GK needs experience for me, 28-35 prime age, in the Simon Moore bracket almost, he showed value in that first season.

He’s an outstanding goalkeeper, exactly the type we need however every other champ club would have him bar Sheffield United

According to some, most of the recruitment was Robins’ fault
He has to have some responsibility though right.

Scouting is done for him and that’s just the modern way. You can blame Dean if the reports are shite and as such the recommendations but Mark brought him into the club and trusted his advice.

Based on the fan forum, mark like many managers without DOFs goes to his team and says I want X players in these positions. So you can’t absolve him due to the weird balance we have.

Best case would be he asked and didn’t get and that could be true. Without knowing more we can’t really say. Take Alan Browne, if Mark made the decision to look elsewhere and we lost out on both, than that’s partially on Mark.

Not saying Doug and Dean aren’t to blame as well but the leadership team imo should get the blame and one half of that was Mark

Dovin was clearly picked up for his abilities with his feet, but it seems like his timidness on crosses and his lack of authority when organising the back four has not impressed the coaches. It’s surely time to move on from Collins but I’m not expecting a huge upgrade in Dovin, the entire defensive setup needs to change.

To give Dovin some hope, he’s a young lad in a new country for the first time. Might just need to settle in and find his voice which might be why he hasn’t been picked as hoping just to get him comfortable here.

Time to move on from Collins but we have to be careful with Dovin to not ruin him before he’s ready

MR own words - he has final say.

So until that is proven incorrect, MR absolutely has to take share of responsibility.

Everyone seems desperate to always pin blame on someone, Some of these lads are not bad footballers (However I agree, there's some who Im not sure are up to it) what they all lack is experience, battle scars, fight - Now thats a direct problem from the suppose "model" we are following, but again thats on everyone involved, not just one person.

We went for Alan Browne, he came round the ground. We had a loan lined up from Liverpool and tried another late on - so there a couple of myths debunked. King himself said he doesn't have issue with older or loan - now someone is telling porkies slightly as why haven't we addressed a glaring issue (experience) and yes I think we could have gone harder on loan - like a Chris mepham for example.

Everyone has to share blame/take ownership on this, too simplistic to blame one person all the time.

January is a shit window. I would be surprised if we make more than one permanent signing.

Hey I don’t disagree with you, DK is talking BS and just shows his naievity .

So if Robins said it its gospel, if King said it, ignore it its bullshit?

I just don't get this logic. I don't think for one minute Robins was 100% responsible for recruitment no matter what he said, though he definitely has to shoulder his share of the blame.

I’ll be disappointed if we don’t get an absolute shit kicker of a CH and a complete hacker of a CM. Both of whom don’t have at least 500 championship games each!

Deep down I think he knows that but he's trying to save face and put a positive spin on having been robbed of £45m

He hasn't lost 45 mil.
There's definitely been some duff signings but I'd imagine we'll turn a profit on Wright, MVE, EMC and Bassette.

That would be Albert Adomah and Lee Camp out of retirement and out of position then.

Everyone has to take share of blame. What’s the point of desperately looking for the “gotcha”

It’s a collective. And it’s now done and none of us can change it.
