Heard that Tavares to reading bindon to us
They did have interest in him before. Would make sense as allows them to get a body in as well as money which might appeal to them more considering there restrictions atm.

Surprising we are looking at another young CB tho, while he looks to have a lot of potential you'd have to think we have plenty and need some experience in that role. Unless Kitching is also making way for someone.

There was almost a point in pre season when a mutual termination was going to be agreed, so he could go there as a free agent. Then Haji got injured.

Doesn't shock me at all, just lend more credence to the idea, we would give him away with the deal. Helps us with wages and means they get the player they want. Also don't know why but got a feeling Luton did a similar trade last year?

Not sure on the Luton subject. Yes, i think the idea was to free up wages for us.

I'm slightly feeling for King right now. Never been involved with football before.

Comes out of last season having had a fantastic cup run finishing with two close games against Premiership clubs. He's lost O'Hare, but gained a good replacement and topped up the squad. We thump Everton in a pre-season friendly. You would think everything was go go go for the top 6.

Instead we are languishing in our historical place in the Championship pre-relegation - just below halfway in the Stoke-Bristol holding pattern. Suddenly there is a need for a complete overhaul and players central to last season are now deemed not good enough, Simms and Kitching spring to mind. Others from last season are clearly out of form - Tats, MVE, Collins.

So we have to start all over again. And that will cost

EXCLUSIVE: Galatasaray are interested in Milan van Ewijk.

Milan van Ewjik's agent has been contacted and asked about Coventry and the player's financial demands.

Who would want to own a football club 🤣

On a serious note, I’m always shocked at the amount of people who want to buy one, the business is like no other. There’s no predictably like other businesses and your consistently reminded how while you own the business, it’s not yours and your just a custodian.

Big fan of the 50+1 model but could you imagine us lot trying to organise the club 🤣

I still like him despite his iffy form this season, but if its good money you'd take it.

Totally agree @Gibbo

I know I am pro King because I believe he has done what he said he would do, and many many owners of our past over many decades, talked a big game but were light on action.

Football is about fine margins ….. Bassette scores his 1 v 1 to make it 2 nil against Pompey, Rudi taking his chance yesterday and we are suddenly flying and with an outside chance of the play offs.

I suspect we will see at least 3 new additions this window and hopefully they help us find that extra 5% that will see us win more matches than we do today.

Sell if we can right? Good player but could enable us to get a decent amount in to start the Lampard rebuild?

Frank needs to build a squad he wants and the current lot needs reshaping over the next 2 windows. MVE, Sheaf and Wright will probably move on or be cashed in by summer. That would give a transfer kitty of at least £20-25m plus any further Vik cash.

Don’t disagree although would hope to keep one of the three (likely Sheaf) just for continuity in the new squad

Out of the 3 Sheaf is most likely to stay. I don’t think a Premiership team will come for him, so his best bet is to get out of the league with us and learn under Lampard. Depends if he signs a contract or not. If he doesn’t then we have to cash in by next summer.
