We would be mad to sell Wright now. Everyone has a price but I’d genuinely add another ten million to his just because it’s January and I already see it at 20-25 Million
For January with him being our best player and one of the leagues we have to hardball clubs out of negotiations at 30m/35m for sure, we cant afford to lose him this season, in the summer if a good offer comes in and he wants to go I’d allow it as its a lot of transfer kitty to build the squad again, but you cant give players a pre-season in January so we shouldnt need to sign half a starting 11

Seen Brandon Williams name banded about on X. Didn't realise he's a free agent, wouldn't be a bad option on a free, always thought he was bit of a bellend though.

I think Wright leaves this window. Prem team preparing for Champ next year. Ips and Leicester being linked.

Did he have an operation on his ankle? Because if not…he’s been out for a long time…

That’s not the point. He’s clearly very happy not playing first team and picking up the cash. He’s done it most of his career.
I mean I disagree, it’s much harder to get into a team at the top but you still have to maintain that high level and train hard. Palace has gone away but relationships can always be difficult in football as we know from this summer.

Im not invested in this or anything. Just saying he’s gone from being bit part at Arsenal to being bit part at palace. He could have dropped down and been first team at any point but he’s clearly happy with PL wages and a couple of games a season

It’s hard to argue with that when look at his total careers appearances …..

Rumour has it that virtually half a season of crap performances is required for the new players to gel.

Summerville went to West Ham for circa 25 mill and was the best player in the league by a distance. How anyone thinks we'll get 30/35 for Wright is beyond me. Yes he's a player above championship level but no clubs forking out 30+ mill for him. We'll probably sign a promising RW from a European league for around 4 mill and Haji will leave in the summer for around 15 if he comes back from injury, and has a decent second half of the season.

We need to be realistic as a fanbase here regardless of Lampards standing in the game, PL players on the fringes aren't good to come other than a 6/12 month loan were they will just raise their profile again enough for a Stoke or Sheff UTD to double our wage offer.

Bringing in decent players like MVE, Haji, and Sheaf and turning a decent profit on is our only realistic model. Without a Ryan Reynolds "shudders" propping it all up. This year's been frustrating but we still have some good players at a good age. All we need are 3 seasoned C*nts to help this group along. I will confess the persistence with Bassette has me baffled Simms is a much more effective centre forward currently.

Its not a case of thinking we’ll get that its a case of hardballing so we dont lose him
