Thankfully, he was able to walk on it, which means he probably hasn’t done serious damage to the ACL again. But, the way he went down you could tell he’s done something. Hopefully, it’s good news.
These things are not just standard 10 months out their more like 18+ months to regain mentality and get back to a players level give him time he will be fine.Agree. He hasn’t looked anything like his old self since he got back. Hopefully this is not too serious. I did fear when he stayed down at first that we might have seen the last of him.

It was the same kneeSeen it close he tried to turn back for the loose ball from his blocked cross lost his balance and studs caught in the turf his knee wobbled he was waving straight over does anyone know if it was the same knee ? I don’t think it’s gonna be a bad one but he struggled to run it off could be ligament strained fingers crossed.
Delayed scan could be down to swelling fingers crossed it’s not a bad one.It was the same knee
Won't know the extent till he's had a scan but the club are hoping for the best
injury might be nothing to do with previous one. lets not jump to conclusions. He could yet be vital for usPlease can we write of JJ in a Coventry shirt this season. Allow him time to come back properly in a lan spell once fully fit at a L2 club. It’s gonna take him a long time to get confidence in his knee.
I hope for his sake it’s only a minor set back, cruel if it’s more serious.
Get in someone to do the job in January for me

Any news on this?
Robins will be doing the press conference this afternoon for tomorrows game I would assume. That's when we're likely to get an update if there is one.Nothing on the clubs site. The phone in might be worth a listen tonight if only to find out if there’s any news on this.
didn't look good to me at all as it happened right in front of me and looked like his knee buckled sideways
I said ACL as soon as he went, hopefully not as that could be his career.
When opposition players go running over shouting for a physio you can usually tell it is quite bad as well.
I hope it is good news but the way he twisted and went down it didn't seem too much different to the first time it happened
Just hope he wasn't being pushed too soon.
Also have to ask if we need to adjust our warmup routine? Biamou did his within a few minutes also.
When Jones and Thomas were both down I felt like burning my season ticket there and then.

I personally think it’s up to the players to be responsible for their own warm ups and stretches especially if coming off the bench.
These injuries are more bad luck I think than anything

The lad was desperate to try to play on NickIt was strange, it was obvious that Jones wasn't going to be able to play on but all of our subs were sat on the bench still.
Then Bakayoko looked surprised to be coming on and jumped up and got ready as quick as he could.

He was hoping it was just a strain or a twist that he would recover from quickly but as soon as he tried running on it he couldn't support his weight
He's been having treatment over the weekend but I suspect he'll be out for a while whatever is found on the scan
We seem to be plagued by ACLs, both on the pitch and off it!!!!Given our luck with ACL's in the last two seasons you just know it's going to be as bad as it looked
Apparently he told the medical staff the pain was nowhere near as bad as when he did his ACLI know but I am no physio or expert but could tell he wasn't going to be able to as soon as he hit the floor. Why was there even any attempt to run it off? Imagine if he had twisted or been on the end of a tackle and it completely snapped something
Hopefully the scan results will say it isn't as bad as it looked.

I remember Stuart Pearce trying to 'run it off' when he broke his leg playing for West Ham
I think its the pace. Lighter footwear and running miles on pitches that allow you to do so. They're pretty much athletes now, running right on the curve of injury at every time they step out. Challlenges were harder and heavy boots, but I think most injuries seem to come now when running at pace, being agile and turning quickly. There's definitely something going on with the modern game that was not happening previously.
I don't remember all these injuries happening back in the 60's and 70's.
And back then the game was more physical and the pitches much worse.
Talking about injured players walking off the pitch, who remembers Ricardo Fuller whilst playing for Preston at Highfield Road jumping off his stretcher and going after some Coventry fans near the tunnel. We all thought he had feigned injury to get out of a booking and then found out later he had knackered his knee and was out of football for months
