No evidence but I have a feeling the Lampard deal is sealed. They just knew it's going to be extra toxic if he gets off to a losing start so didn't want to drop him straight in against Sheffield U and Burnley

that logic is one of defeatist mentality though

let’s be honest we always play our best football against teams who come at us

anyone with a low line and sit back we find it hard to breakdown

teams with flowing football we tend to play better against

I fancy us tonight because of that

Burnley have a relatively low xG and low goals scored for their league position.

I just can’t seriously believe we’d hold off on a new manager if it was all sorted tbh. Have him in watching in the stands if you don’t want to disrupt prep for games.

It’s not but would made King look pretty stupid about how strong he believes the squad is

Yep I'm not saying it's a good move but I can see some logic. I'm sure most teams block out runs of fixtures and try and set a target a points return. The 3 games after Robins left were all against teams right at the top so maybe they thought it was too much of a baptism of fire especially when there is little to no enthusiasm about Lampard.

Could be a masterstroke giving him a seemingly easier home fixture to start off. But will look pretty bad if we lose, and as mentioned we seem to struggle against teams that drop deep.

Fair play to @GIMOC credit where it's due.

Heard 100% direct contact here at Burnley tonight, FL not a done deal and JE is still in the frame. Players still not been told anything either.

I won’t believe it until you post another obscure picture of some random people (blurred our faces) with the ‘direct contact’.

Or offend the support by being to swift in replacing Robins, which sounds too rediculous to believe to me, prepared to sack, but not prepared to install cos of reception's?

Frank Lampard is a born winner - if the owner said “wait until the tough games are over” he’d stay a million miles away

it would suggest he owner doesn’t trust him and his ability.

The words of wisdom from King have done the trick, Blackburn won their last 5 conceding one goal.

More to the point, I wonder how the Birmingham fans are feeling. 😱
