He came back to Cov last night I believe
Scan today likely

someone told me that there was a picture of him in a hospital bed on Facebook though if true that is probably standard practice for a pro footballer with a potentially serious injury.

If we leave it to Geoff Foster and Martin Winch it will be Christmas before we know, even though Jones will probably have been back playing for us for at least 3 games by then.
Which Christmas ....2020? I really hope JJ is not too serious an injury. However, it could stop the club flogging him to Leeds in January.....so if he can be for for 1st February ready for the promotion run-in that might be the best result for us?

Big big blow if its anything serious.

Jones on the counter attack will be missed. But lets all please not get downhearted.

We are not a one man team. Our relative success this season has been based on the defence. Best in the league.

Yup, but we still need to score at the other end and so many goals have come from or through Jones.

Whatever happens with Jones and Kelly, the transfer window is open in just over a month.

Even if we had to limp through to then our season would not be lost.

People need to calm down a little bit, and if anyone mentions Kyel Reid again there's going to be a shanking.
Yeah, agree. We could though however go for that winger we have on loan at Colchester, bring him back Can't quite recall his name. Any ideas?

George Thomas. Surely hes got to go out on loan get some proper games under his belt.

Cannot see it being in L2 tho, low end championship or L1 more likely.

I don't think it will be too difficult to get a loan in with similar quantities to JJ. There are plenty of PL U23 sides or championship with a few in. The good news is we've time to do the homework on the players and identify ones with the correct personalities to complement the side rather than a Andre Wright, Micheal Folivi 11th hour take or leave it job.

I'm sure TW has contacts that he will be calling as will MR.

I agree and understand if he went to a championship team but.

The bottom half of league one and top 6/7 league two not a lot of difference and if you can still play locally...with your ex boyhood club with mates and a chance to contribute to promotion challenge then its a possibility. I'm sure Robins is keeping tabs surely.

Location/familiarity/sense of loyalty/Promotion challenge/development is in our favor...I think theres a chance

I take your points, sensible and valid... I just feel a Shrewsbury, Blackburn or someone is more likely to land him than us.
He'd fit the bill for sure in MR preferred 4231

FFS, this club is cursed. First Andreu and now Jones.

Obviously one player doesn't make the team but saying that how many goals have we scored that he either hasn't scored or had an assist on?

Think now it will be a case of getting through to January and then trying to bring someone in. That will mean spending money or a loan as we won't find a suitable replacement on a free.
