If I was Robins I'd be getting Callum Wilson in for a chat with him to keep him motivated and give him some hope. If not now, after the surgery.

Now more than ever will we see how good our manager is.

I can defo see quite a few 0-0 on the horizon.

Luckily our defence well stocked.Such a shame we didn’t get some of those striker targets we were after.

Honestly think we’ll have to sell to get people in Jan transfer window.

Could be a real blow as some of best players shipped out to get a replacement for Jones

Same thing happened in 2015...End of September/October .....REDA does his knee in. Then Replacement Ben Turner does his Knee in December.

Cant help but feel shit sorry for ourselves!

So plan A was to build around Andreu; out for the season.

Plan B was to counter with Jones; out for the season.

Plan B was already filled with issues, so let’s hope MR has a better Plan C up his sleeve.

Jones has been off form recently, so others have had to try and step up, but I worry we no have no wingers on our books and even less creativity in the team.

3-5-2 is required, with Stevenson being introduced and McNulty/Ponti/Duck playing off the shoulder of Biamou.

We have to look at Talent available.

Agree Stevenson must come in..give him a run.

McNulty/Biamou/Vincenti have to step up. and Nazon has to be extended at all costs to end of season. or we are truly F****4D

I feel for him at a exciting time of his career, it's a big injury at a young age. Will come back only have to look at Callum Wilson.

However this is CCFC, as a club we've still a minimum of 27 games to go and must continue.

The key is getting to January still in touch with the play offs when hopefully we get in another exciting young talent on loan most likely.

Time is on our side to find a replacement and I feel MR needed to seriously rethink the formation anyway. Might be a bizarre blessing.

Fucking hell, it is really does seem we are cursed doesn’t it.

Jones has been a huge reason we are so high up table, I really do fear the worst without him in team. Have faith in robins to think up a plan c though

cometh the hour. cometh the man. cometh the Kyel Reid...

This is awful news. Feel for Jones. He clearly has great talent and is at an age to get picked up by a top club. So a major injury is awful for there guy

Absolutely gutted. Mainly for Jodi & us as fans, and also partly for the few morons I've heard at away games that blame literally anything they possibly can on Jones.

Said at the time it was like andreu where he twisted / over stretched :(

Bad news, over to you Mr robins

I have no idea, do we not have insurance policy against long term injury like these?

So possibly his wages go back into the team?

Awful for Jodi. He has been our most effective forward thinking player this season. But we must adjust and get on with it. Hopefully the whole team will roll their sleeves up and grind out enough points till January. Robins should have someone lined up so that we can push on for promotion in April/May.

Gutted for Jones and its easy to be negative now... but... we easily have the best defence in the league, we only need 1 or 2 to step up attacking wise and we will still be fine.

Agreed its made the Jan window even more vital mind! Can't afford anymore injuries!

for fucks sake, you couldn't write this shit.
Imperative we get Nazon for the rest of the season now. Different type of player but someone who can produce a trick and beat a man.
January just took on a new importance.

Squad size is an issue, then if we loan then we need to get them to pay wages. Would / could conference teams do that for Thomas etc?

Our luck with injuries is absolutely ridiculous. A couple of seasons ago we couldn't keep a centre back pairing together because they always seem to get injured. We lost Andreu early this season, now we've lost Jones for the season. We always get luck, virtually all of it bad.

Think you'd be talking only 25% of there wages surely at most and I cannot imagine there on much to begin with. It's a real tricky situation this is, loans in is the only way I see it this January and readdress in the summer for permanent players.

We've nothing really to shift on for cash to put back into the pot. Needed Stevenson to of had a good last 4 months really to reinforce this January.

Promotion hopes are in serious trouble. Anyone at the game Tuesday would agree we were abysmal without him. We offer all but nothing going forward without him.

We need support in the Jan window but as we know, that won't happen. Let's be honest Duck will be off to League One as well.

If anything it means he can now treat the January transfer window a bit like a summer one.

Gotta give it everything if we want to get promoted.

If we have to ship out 3 or 4 of the fringe players so be it. We've got a good base to the team, we just need a bit more creativity and flair I think. It's also important however, that we don't sacrifice the players that have been so good this year in order to do that.

Maybe worth taking the gamble and at least giving Kyle Finn a place on the bench. Nearest thing we have to Jones in terms of dribbling ability and a left sided wide player.

Five City kids impressing with first team during pre-season

He was brilliant at Sutton in pre-season.

I've seen people mention Shipley will replace Jones, but they are completely different players. Finn/Devon are our only options for pace.

Shit news for the lad....we will really miss him.

I'm not just saying this but we could all see it coming really though couldn't we? How many times did we say that he's our only real attacking threat and sooner or later he would get injured. Admittedly I thought it would be from someone clattering him but still.

What can we do? Obviously this is where Robins earns his money but we are either looking for a lucky loan, or tempt someones best player away from them in the Jan transfer window.
For fuck sake.
