Don't disagree. However, some want a CCC "victory" no matter what the consequences.

Tell me Torchomatic, which posters on here have actually said that they would take a CCC victory over what is best for CCFC? Or is it just more divisive bullshit that YOU are spinning despite you calling others divisive?

Edit: Apart from Spider

Me included. I now hate Sisu so much that I would rather see the club playing in Northampton indefinitely than see Sisu get the Ricoh via their legal machinations. I just want to see them lose badly and painfully because that's what'll see them hounded out with egg on their faces.

The same can be said for the council haters on here. That they would prefer the council to lose whatever the cost to CCFC !!!
Try to remember that this case is Sisu sueing CCC. By these actions alone its preventing CCFC from playing at the Ricoh !!

I think the conspiracy story goes something along the lines that the Council (both elected officials & executive officers), Higgs, former directors Hoffman & Elliot and even Sky Blue Trust committee members and the editor of the Cov Tel are somehow involved. There would need to be a fair amount of actual evidence to actually prove any of that so I wouldn't put too much on the conspiracy just yet :D

I'm with you on most of those :) but not the Higgs as I thought that the last judge had thrown out the Sisu argument that the Higgs were in on a conspiracy?

Any luck with the bag?

Not me. I don't care who "wins" as long as City go back to the Ricoh.

'QC says council were advised that £14.4m was much more than ACL was worth (£5.6m inc 250k rent from club)'

This highlights the perversity of the situation. The future of our football club rests on a QC's ability to convince a judge that the value of a loan between their landlord and their council was greater than it might be. That's how gossamer-thin SISU's hopes for any future for our club now. Oh, those halcyon days of early 2008, and our 'debt-free' future, shining bright...

I disagree, Shmmee hit the nail on the head earlier in the thread, when he said everyone but a few trolls want ccfc back at the ricoh first and foremost no matter who wins.

Realistically not likely to happen though is it ?
Because the constant legal antics will never end long enough for all parties to sit down !
I wonder who is obsessed with dragging everything to court ????

To be fair Torch, most want a CCC victory as they feel this is the only way SISU will sell up but this is not guaranteed . They also see the CCC as representing the tax paying Coventry public and see SISU as an external organisation that has ripped the club out of the community.

Remember the CCC are here to stay and will forever be part of the City of Coventry, whereupon SISU are here one day gone the next. That's the difference.

Torch.. your honest opinion, do you really think we will be better of under SISU's regime. You may say well there is no one else who would want to buy the club?? well how would we know if it has never officially been put for sale.

Really hope this is the beginning of the end for Sisu with our club. They have been an absolute disaster and if they continue to own us there is only one consequence. We will cease to exist. They represent everything that is wrong with our society, never mind our club.
I would imagine they will try and cloud the important issues today, looking to pick targets for future litigation. It's what they do isn't it.
Squandering CCFC money on legal fees. Bang goes your new striker. New goalie.
As far as I can see, the Council, ACL, were protecting themselves from the obvious, rapacious tactics of a Hedge Fund operation. Whether they did that strictly legally, I don't know, nobody on here knows. But I would do it myself if it meant stopping Sisu getting their dirty hands on a site partly funded on tax payers money, for the people of Coventry and their football club.
I really do hope Sisu get what they deserve. Nothing.
Then maybe, we can get back to Coventry and rebuild our club without their shackles, their lies, greed, total absence of any idea of a community. Of integrity, they don't have any.

Over the last 12 months or so and after having an unfortunate conversation with Tim Fisher on platform 3 MK Central snack bar last November, I find myself largely in agreement with this post. Quite honestly I can’t see any future for the club whilst SISU/Otium remain in control.

Aside from making my feelings known on the insidious move to Northampton, I’ve never once commented on either SISU or CCC/ACL’s actions and their parts played with regard to the utter disarray the club finds itself in quite simply because I know nothing of what’s really gone on. If truth be known, I suspect no-one else does either despite some of the claims on this forum.

With what little knowledge I do have, I personally can’t see SISU’S actions being upheld and if liquidation is ultimately the result of this JR then so be it. I’d rather be put out of my misery swiftly than this slow, lingering, painful death over many years. Having said that I want to see the correct judgement given based on truth and facts regardless of which way it goes.

So long as the costs aren't added to the debt mountain that the club has and it doesn't affect the team/performance on the pitch, then they can spend all year and as much money as they like in court for all I care.

I think he is though ;)

He isn't Gent, or at least I'd be very surprised if he is. I've considered Rob a friend for a long time. It doesn't mean he's right on everything, mind, and I detest this Council-plant, SISU rent-boy stuff. I wish we could just leave it out, personally.

Appreciate you were kidding when you said it, but there are some here who actually believe it (or pretend to).

What does this mean?

I think what the judge means is that it can't really be classed as paying the rent. This also points back to a decision in court as I recall, where SISU were told they had to top up the escrow as well as paying the rent due.

I'm glad this bullshit line has been shown up in court for what it is. I'm tired of shouting a the radio every time I hear it spun

"An act of folly that drove club out of Ricoh"

Mr fisher drove club out in his van he hired.

Again, why should council securing financial future of Ricoh have anything to do with ccfc?
Oh wait, they has to do it as CCFC withheld the rent that put them in that position...

Neither ........... and to be honest RobS that's pretty pathetic isn't it

CC4L will tell you I work for the council !

Just to be clear I do not work for any of the parties involved in this drama. I was appointed for 1 day only to work for the Alan Higgs Centre Trust to advise at the first creditors meeting last May. There have been no other appointments before or since, directly or indirectly.

You have a lot to say but from a position of anonymity which, IMHO, undermines your credibility. Why not be more transparent so that we can make an objective assessment of your comments? Do you work for the Council? Any links with Coventry Labour Party? Etc?

We're all trying to get to the actual facts here so you can see why transparency is a good thing can't you?

@TheSimonGilbert: it has emerged that Yorkshire bank would have agreed to loan ACL £15.5m on the basis of restructuring the loan.
