Leeds dropped their first choice keeper because he was costing them points, we put our worst keeper in, confidence was shot after the Portsmouth game, he’s just carried on

Its just a nonsense direction of blame. Torp was even worse when he came on but you ignore that. Grimes had a stinker today, EMC too yet you call out the bloke who played 10 minutes.
It’s not though is it, I’ve. Defended him all season, that was shocking today, you can’t keep defending him, grimes faultbfot the equalizer but at least he offers something, simms cant head a ball, or hold it up, bassette does no worse than simms, end of the day this is where our squad catches us out, Collins and simms, nowhere near the level

Yes we had a good defence. But people have forgotten the saves Wilson made to keep us competitive in a game. He wasn't making save after save but he pulled a number of good ones off.

I don't think I have seen Collins save anything that isn't routine and is responsible for some howlers.

I think there are several people on here who where so down on Wilson and bigged Collins up they are too embarrassed now to admit they got it wrong.
This is exactly it.

Grimes offers something, but todya he was poor. Are you talking about Simms today or in general? youre windmilling.

In general, honestly I’ve defended him since he’s been here , with wright playing as he is he’s an impact sub, never offered anything you expect the basics of being able to trap a ball, or hold it up

I’ve backed him since he’s been here , 5 touches and. 4 went straight back to them, bassette couldnt Of done any worse

Bassette wouldn’t have managed the five touches.

Torp was awful. Don't know what happened to him, but his passing accuracy was non-existent.

I don't think Grimes had a stinker to be honest, but he was definitely sub-par.

EMC offered nothing really

Wilson probably has to go in now but I think people are conveniently forgetting. Played 3 games this season I think.. Blackburn game went well, don't remember him doing anything but fair enough.
Leeds game, arguably could have saved all 3, also did this other thing where he lost the ball which actually made me laugh out loud.
Wednesday game, gave Gassama the whole near part of the goal to aim at (the only place he could score) completely taking the wind out of our sails on HT.
Ultimately the Blunts have killed our season and if you don't hate them like I do yet, well just go and suck Tyrese Campbell at this point.

We are at the point it’s Wilson or Luke bell?

it’s negligible now from Lampard to keep Collins in.

Just going to have accept going longer and more direct save Wilson worrying about overplaying and set up from there.

Lot of armchair psychology in this thread, but thought it was very telling that Edwards made a point of mentioning that Collins is a "strong character" in his post-match interview.

Watched the replays over and over! I must say that Collins brittle mentality cost us dearly again. I know Grimes lost the ball and the damage started there but the Burnley player that made his way to the byline towards the goal had nowehere to go and Collins was going to go down to get the ball but changed his mind and thus give the opportunity for the player to pass backinto Jayden Anthony to score.
Collins bottled out at going down because he did not want to get hurt!!

The second goal was unbelievable, why oh why did he come so far out of the area? Kitchen had nowehere to go once Collins appeared in front of him thus making Kitchen to make an attempt to head it back but by that time Collins was already passed him outside the area.
I am afraid that Collins does some good mid flight saves as he only has the ball flight to think about, however his overall mentally is shot his decision making is of panic and not objectivty and is frightened of getting hurt and does not have the courge to become a champonship player

I'm not going to comment on the two goals and the cock ups that ensued, but instead talk about the rest of the second half, there was no urgency from Collins, when he had the ball at his feet there was no quick play out to players, he was like a rabbit in the headlights, he would think one way, look the other then go back to the first and eventually pass it to one of our centre backs, it was as if we were 2-1 up and trying to run down the clock. With his head where it is and what happened at Portsmouth away, I really worry if Lampard puts him in on Wednesday

Oggy said in passing on Saturday that Wilson wasn't fully back, I don't know if he's speculating or if he's been told something. Bell can't kick - short kicking will put us under more pressure than the Barnsley defence. If Collins has to play then we all need to get behind him or it's the playoffs out the window.

I wonder if Frank and coaching team decided to play Collins v Burnley as chance we might lose and he's planning to bring Wilson in fresh and confident for final 6 games?

Good, he should be tough enough then to be told he's dropped.

My brother said listening to a podcast Wilson is not yet fit to play according to Oggy? Don't know where that came from. Anybody know as my brother is getting on.

Thought the way Wilson was warming up before the game looks fit to me, wouldn’t be on the bench else would he, he’d have had to come on if needed

pretty Confident we’ll get play offs but after that our defence is a massive problem, teams already target our left side now we’ve got a problem in goal, think Collins starts weds and hopefully has a decent enough game to get some confidence back but I’m praying it’s Wilson until the end of the season, but that’s more to do with how bad collins is more than how good Wilson is,

Oggy said on CWR pre-match that he thinks he may not be 100% but is fit enough to play. After the game though he backtracked & said he was sure he was ready 🤷🏼‍♂️
