Just got the full story from one of the guys involved on Twitter. Apparently there were around 500 people involved, including the real Kurt Drago so the account seemed legit.

Credit where credit's due, it's a good hoax.

If the player is involved himself it's pretty unprofessional and what did we ever do to him?

Good prank but now come out and apologise to sky blues fans. The jokes on them anyway as this got about as far as this website and no further.

An apology from Drago? For what? Some of us being really dense and gullible?

Fair play to them, remember Smiles and Badger doing Leicester a few years back posing as Leicester fans with Holloway masks in the Leicester Mercury,

Probably just some delayed pay- back.

did you read through some of the comments to him, they are hilarious!! The comment from Jamie Christian was so funny! 'rt me pleaseeee kurt ,been watching videos of you playing ,class'. 'I hope your ready for Wembley!'.

So funny!!! why do people feel the need to be accepted by someone famous! I love some of the comments on Carl Baker's facebook also, if he said 'i'm off to take a shit' there would be comments saying 'have a great one PUSB' etc..

Agree! So many struggle to see the humorous side! People act like the hoax has been a phone call saying loved ones have died!

PGA - Professional Gambling Advice. While we may have failed that the last 1 and this 1 have been humourous to say the least and unfortunately it was you who were all duped into considering this to be fact. While some have had a great sense of humour regarding it and realised that it was well constructed and believable and taken it in their stride, the responses some of you have posted on here like the guy hoping he dies and stuff, make it even better because it's a perfect reaction.. The group has over 500 people, but there were really only about 10-20 who played a part and some more than others who they deserve the real credit...

It's already fooled a lot of people on here and twitter, over 300 sky blue fans followed the fake twitter account. The power of social media, I suppose.

What I don't understand is why so many people got excited about a footballer who plays for an amateur team in the Maltese 3rd division. baffles me......

I think to get it on sky sports, you need to pick a bigger club guys but I enjoyed it!!

In all honestly, wen it dawned on me it was a hoax, I thought, "jesus wish I'd thought of that!! fair play too u guys. My only dislike was the dis on cccfc, from one of ur guys (i assume) if its all in jest, why the attack wen u announced it was fake?

Pretty hard to do though with a big club.. The reactions we got were more than enough to keep us entertained.

The general hoax itself was ok, but the real money is the overblown reactions of people responding to it wishing death, demanding apologies and calling everyone involved virgins. Jesus, people.

The twitter account was passed onto someone else and they ruined it and posted the digs, i don't think the majority wanted it to pan out that way as it kinda killed it and we could have had a bit more fun with it..
