Yeh, the evidence is pretty conclusive, eh? And besides, he does that silly little 'aren't I great' dance when he is occasionally on the pitch and occasionally scores!

Anyone have a clue what Beavon does if he scores?
It last happened so long ago that you have to go back to the mid 19th century to answer that one. Thus I used my Oucho Patent time machine to whizz back and ask our former Prime Minister Lord Palmerston. His answer..."only three people knew the answer to this. One is dead, another has gone mad, and I have forgotten."

Bev needs a goal
He never hides during games and is rated by the other players
I suspect when he scores his first others will follow
And it will open up opportunities for the other forward players
I'm cautiously optimistic we can go on a decent run

Beavon is clearly a good technical player. Maybe he would be better off as a centre mid where he is not under pressure to score goals?

He needs a goal but I still couldn't see him having a run he's not that type.

I thought it was Beavon's best game of the season on Saturday. He actually had the ball in areas that he could do something with it. So far it has been a case of trying to do something positive with balls that are 2 feet above his head while competing with a 6'-6" centre halfs. A good shot on the turn and unlucky with the lob and when he was brought down when virtually clear.

Definitely Beavon's best game and something akin to some of the form he showed last season.

He was unlucky to not get at least one goal on Saturday. Think most of us thought that lob over the keeper was going in

I was in the half get up half sit down mode in anticipation of a big roar as the ball crept over the goal line, unfortunately it never happened and we then faced ridicule from the Vale fans

The lob should have gone in a batter finisher would have scored it.

It was well saved, the keeper diving to his right after a swivel and turn from Beavon.

I thought that was his first effort maybe the shock of him being within 30 yards of the goal has damaged my memory

Useless fact of the week - Stuart Beavon has never scored for us on a Saturday.

It was his first effort, that was when the keeper injured himself, meanng the second one was a poor miss as he could've easily taken it round the keeper who was barely able to walk at that point

Despite the fact that he sprinted off his line to go and meet him?

You are joking, right?

It was a great effort and deserved a goal.

Nope he should have scored he had the whole goal to aim at, I would rather see Tudgay in front of goal than him I can't believe he has made it as a pro and had such a long career he is something like 1 goal every 11 or so league games for us centre backs have better scoring records than him. If he ever scores again and keeps up this current ratio he will have a maximum of 5 goals this season. A stupid signing by a stupid manager.

He collapsed and lay on the floor. It was a poor effort

From Beavon?

That is totally ridiculous if that's what you mean.

He was injured and there was a huge gap to him and Beavon when he got the ball. He went down early and a decent striker would have flicked it over him and scored

The keeper never played another minute after that.

Ive just watched it - worse than I remembered the keeper pulled up and ended up desperately lunging forward on one leg.

It was a poor effort.
