I like Frank and thank him for getting us to where we were now, but I'm getting tired of him bringing up what should've been red cards

Both Monday and today are level playing fields in terms of number of players, we should do better in these occasions

The one on Eccles is never a red card, a yellow yes for kicking but he barley touched his calf

I disagree. You cannot kick out at and connect with another player and expect anything less than red

Although playing with 10 players for 90 minutes is a bit different to the last 20, surely?

Of course it is, and we were excellent defending until they went down to 10

I was referring to him on Sky mentioning the kick out at Eccles and that being the reason why we lost (because their player didn't get sent off) instead of trying to win when it is 10v10

I dunno. I thought his in game management was spot on today. Reacted to the cards perfectly. All arguably undone, however, by starting Collins.

From the red card onwards, most of the outfield did exactly what it needed to do.

Like you say, it was Collins

Ok, he doesn't have any of his own players, we've been hit by injuries In key areas at the worst time. You saw what Frank can do when everyone is fit. Will we ever see the perfect storm? Who knows, but he's done well with what he's got.

Playoff season, lost on pens to the 3rd place team after another terrible start, last season, fa cup ruined us, but what a ride that was, this season another bad start and Robin's gone. We can only hope that with a full pre season, and bringing in his own players that Frank builds off our period of 8 wins in 10. He like everyone else will see the deadwood in the team.

When Frank came in for his first game, if I knew we'd be in with a chance of play offs on the final game at home to Middlesbrough, I'd of snapped your hand off.

Likewise, Binks can't complain if he'd have been sent off.

Lampard will pick Collins for next week and he will cost us again. FL must be as blind as Stevie Wonder or Collins has something on him to keep getting picked.

Let's be honest he hasn't showed any tactical nous over the last 10 games, and his record against the bottom half is appalling. Huge doubts about him.

That’s harsh, the form goes out of the window at this stage of the season. The form table is more or less flipped over from the league table.

The accumulated injuries is a fair mitigation and a sign the squad isn’t deep enough yet.

I do share the opinion that we’ve sometimes been one dimensional away from home. Too cautious on the ball.

He's rescued the season, done a lot of great work and got us in to a position we'd all have taken when he came in.

But it's started to go wrong since mid march.
Teams have found a way to play against us and sticking with Collins is looking a more and more bizarre decision by the week.

Hopefully we can muster one last effort next week and make top 6 and take it from there.

As the game went on today I was starting to worry we’d run ourselves out for next Saturday.

Our home record has been faultless under Lampard so I remain optimistic. The injuries have piled up which is a concern and needs to be accounted for this stretch, Dovin in particular.

Really??

We had an off game against Derby

We the lost away to one of the best teams in the division against Sheffield Utd

We lost to Burnley because of Collins
We lost to Plymouth because of Collins
We lost to Luton because of Collins

Criticise Lampard all you want for his choice of keeper, but that isn’t the same thing as tactical nous.

If it wasn’t for Collins’ cock up, today he got it spot on

Pros:
1) Raising us from 17th to top 6 (as we speak, but that could change after the weekend)
2) Improving the likes of Rudoni, Torp and overall man management
3) Bringing Grimes in the Jan window - need more tough-minded, skillful players in the offseason

Cons:
1) Persisting with Collins when the rest of the world disagrees (no amount of man management can fix shite)
2) Somewhat limited in his ability to game plan/adjust in game and persisting with the high-line all the time

I'm not sure Pep, Klopp or Fergie would do much more. We are a squad full of deadwood.

I wouldn’t say full.

We’ve just been unlucky that it’s our best players are all the ones that got injured

That is a ridiculous statement! 😂

The squad is robust as we had our best form without our two top scorers. We are just at a point of the season where players are pushing through injuries or dropping off and we’re still a few players short.

This is v typical overreacting over a bad period.

It's not, it's a poor league and we are one of a number of poor sides.
