why do you care so much about ACL, and how much money they make.the millennium stadium also hosts loads of smaller events as does the ricoh just increase the number of those and job done.remember they could only hold so many because of football no restrictions now
I don't think so. We know that they would have been in a right mess if the council had not bought the loan.
Hardly a positive sign is it? Then we have an arena management company that survives on weddings and the odd two bit conference? They still have an arena to maintain. Very few major concerts and the main arena empty without purpose.
They won't last long.
why do you care so much about ACL, and how much money they make.
Well I presume it helps define the future. Some people think ACL can survive without CCFC, some people hope they can, whilst there are some people who think or maybe hope ACL can't survive without CCFC.why do you care so much about ACL, and how much money they make.
why would people hope ACL could survive without ccfc? Posters like the chap I quoted seem to rub their hands with glee at the fact ACL could survive without the club, I find this completely bizarre.Well I presume it helps define the future. Some people think ACL can survive without CCFC, some people hope they can, whilst there are some people who think or maybe hope ACL can't survive without CCFC.
This has become the great unknown, and maybe will decide what ultimately happens.
If ACL can indeed survive even short to medium term, then they will effectively be able to call SISU's bluff. Fisher has always talked of moving on, and building and financing a new stadium. They can't stall on this forever. The majority of CCFC fans are already sceptical of Fisher's plans, as each week passes with no apparent movement on a new ground, Fishers credibility sinks lower.
However if ACL can't survive without CCFC, then of course a deal to sell or part sell ACL maybe struck. My view and it is only a guess is that ACL can survive in the short to medium term, and if that proves toa be the case, what options do SISU actually have?
Odd, isn't it?
My bolding & underlingTim Fisher said:"We have left the Ricoh Arena. We have moved on. We would not respond or engage in any talks (with ACL and City Council) we have moved on.
"My time now is spent with forward planning for the next three years and the next ten years in terms of what we propose to build.
"Our plans do not give any consideration for ACL
"We were forced out of the Ricoh we could not take the business risk and therefore we made our plans accordingly and we will fulfill those plans."

Especially as we've moved on and won't be considering the Ricoh

My bolding & underling

My concern despite Tim's comments is that they're secretly still hoping to go back and are basing all the plans on this, which is a worry if we can't go back.
Not sure anyone knows when he's bluffing and when he isn't anymore. And now, I'm confused. I thought Fisher lied all the time? It seems he's not lying when it suits.
Moved on, my arse.
Not sure anyone knows when he's bluffing and when he isn't anymore.
But equally you may ask why are so many fans so concerned that SISU don't sell CCFC without making a loss. All fans want the club back at the Ricoh, but it seems clear the vast majority of fans want the club back but without SISU in charge. The losses SISU have made are their sole responsibility, they have had 100% control of the club. It seems some fans are more concerned with what's best for SISU, rather than what's best for CCFC. That by virtually giving them the Ricoh, they can then sell the club and stadium, and recoup their losses. Why should the Ricoh be used to subsidise SISU's losses?:why would people hope ACL could survive without ccfc? Posters like the chap I quoted seem to rub their hands with glee at the fact ACL could survive without the club, I find this completely bizarre.
The only reason they did not put on more concerts was beecause of the Football Season and how long it takes to arrect the stage and other things .
They only need to stage 2 more concerts to cover for CCFC not being there
And anyway i thought we were being Liquadated so it dont matter .
Load of bollocks.
But we do know people who believe him when it's convenient to do so.
http://www.coventrytelegraph.net/news/coventry-news/coventry-city-chief-left-ricoh-3869400Tim Fisher via CET said:“People have to understand we do not posture, we do not threaten, because that is not how you do business, you only do business in good faith. Always."
I would have thought in the current scenario every CCFC fan is hoping ACL go bankrupt today.
Brilliant, did you hear that PWKH. Just increase the number of stuff you put on and "job done".

However, going back to your original post. Is it really as easy as you make out setting up events at a large stadium?
