Anyone else just losing interest?

Last time i felt like this was the L1 relegation side. That was full of shiit players, which we i suppose had to accept

This squad on paper isn't shit. However, they are spineless, wimpy, mentally weak characters. And i don't abide that in our team

We can all take being shit, but seeing 11 men fighting for the shirt that represents us, putting bodies on the line, running until they drop etc gets us behind them

This lot don't. This lot are playing below 100% effort. This lot aren't giving their all. This lot just do not seem to care. As we've seen with them laughing with the opposition after losing or conceding, multiple times may i add

They don't deserve those of you who travel hundreds of miles to support them, put your hard earned cash into them, as well as your time, and i really feel for those of you who get served up this shite all the time

I knew once Norwich got 1 they'd get 2, I even said it to my lad next to me. You just know with this rabble that it would happen

This window HAS to be right. We HAVE to bring in experience, we HAVE to bring in midfield and defensive quality or i fear we will be in deep trouble

I think we’ve become accustomed to what we’d say is ‘success’ as a club! Few good seasons in the championship, the nearly season 2yrs ago!! Now we’re back having an average season it feels like failure and starting to switch off!

Remember the league 1 days or the league 2 days…..those days were far worse than what’s happening right now!!

Also, now we’re paying ‘proper money’ for players the expectations have risen!

I will moan as much as the next person n call this player and that player shit! But I never wanna go back to the days of Yakubu, looking back those days were the worst! Freezing my tits off in an empty stadium, rows to ourselves!

We need a fans forum with King, Austin, Roberts and Lampard

Do they even know about the players laughing? At least show you care after a defeat

The interest is waning week by week

I don't blame Lampard for this, but I do blame the other three for introducing this culture

I see what you're saying completely. However I would say even the L2 team showed more guts than this lot.

Yes we had some shockers, Forest Green, Yeovil, but when the chips were down they dug in and showed courage and guts

This shower of shit dont

Fuck me we’re a flakey, fickle, entitled group aren’t we.

Football is a right bitch sometimes-just our turn to bend over and take it up the arse.

We went all the way down to League Two last time & now after what was looking to be a very well earned win (or draw) at a ground which we traditionally get fuck all from, we are all now in ‘woe is me’ mode.

Just the way football is sometimes and City have had a lot of fucking worldies, deflected goals and oppo goalies having stormers playing against us this season.

Chin up-we’ll probably lose against Sheff Weds in the cup so at least we don’t have to worry about Wemberlee again….

Btw it fuckin annoys me to fuck that the players chose to laugh with oppo players when we all feel like shit.

Players need to taste some of our despondency.

I went to Norwich to watch the city twice in a week back in the naughties, one game in the league and the second in the cup 3 days apart. Awful weather, didn’t win either game but…. I am still going and not loosing interest. The fans that have started watching the team in the past seven years have seen nothing but an upwards trajectory which we all enjoyed. The hard facts of supporting Coventry City are we will have some good times but probably more mediocre and bad times than good. Get used to it We do not have and have not had a sugar daddy since Robins in the 60’s. Hopefully FL and DK will manage to build something, but for now it seems to be a rebuild, whether that be minor or major I will still be going and supporting the team. PUSB

I mean seriously I’ve been to I would guess close to 2,000 games with some real dire times. What kind of snowflake shite is this from the OP

it’s pissed me off of if I’m honest

About time you're pissed off tbf you tend to do the same to 95% of the forum so swings and roundabouts 😉😂

You have to go through the shit to really appreciate the good times.
We had 6 or years of progress, which is something not many clubs will experience, things have stalled, but we'll get there again.
Just got to take shit like today on the chin.

tremendous last few years , feels like we are at the start again but at an uncertain point and nowhere near getting it right , i dont think lampard and his staff will be the ones to bring us good times , too many early alarm bells for me

Not disagreeing with your points but I don’t believe there will be significant transfer activity in January.

I fear the club will just paper over the cracks and wait for the end of the season.

Agreed completely.

If we then decide to move on Sheaf/MVE etc I don't trust them to recruit adequately.

We should have been ready to go with 1 or 2 bodies at the start of the window, considering how many windows those glaring issues haven't been addressed.

You can if course get Overson to buy your season ticket as he already owns you anyway

i still dont get why you dont like people that did good things for the club when others wouldnt / couldnt

hes a good bloke

Anyone who climbed into bed with Sepalla and Fisher and now creates disturbances isn’t a good bloke. Just another Hoffman or Elliot - he can fuck off

What's particularly shitty is we were in the absolutely rare position of having windfall money to have a great chance of improving and progressing the team.
Sadly Robins, with others culpable, pissed it away on a bunch of decidedly average, weak willed, losers.

Did you think they were shit last season? Out of curiosity

It's clear the team is missing a couple players to balance it out

The fans need to get some perspective. The club is in a healthy position for the first time in years and we cannot expect continuous improvement year on year.

Other clubs had thought our fans are decent recently - well we need to bring the noise and support the team NOW, not only when we are playing well and winning all the time. That's a great club and set of fans.

Got to admit , I am 90% sure I will not be renewing my season ticket . And if I want to go I’m sure I won’t have a problem getting a ticket . What the fuck has happened in the last 8 months ? We was one of the favourites to go up 🤔 now tinkering with L1 . This 5 year premier package looks like a money spinner for DK . No free season ticket coming soon.
we have gone from being the most entertaining team in the league to a guaranteed 2 goal sump hole every game ( as good as ) . FL must be thinking WTF have I signed upto! DK needs to turn this around very quickly or the fans will not turn up , the momentum has truly gone.

Still think it was wrong to sack Robins ??

I do find myself at a point where I'm starting to wonder whether I go to Coventry games because I actually genuinely enjoy going to them or because it's routine/part of my life.

Like, call me a fairweather fan or whatever but ultimately this is something we're supposed to do as a hobby, for fun, as a distraction from our relentlessly shit world and right now I'm not getting any enjoyment from it, and could invest the time, effort and expense elsewhere.

To have gone from the siege mentality, it's us against the world, we've all been through so much together and god damnit this is our year 22/23 squad to this band of mercenary non-entities has been a hell of a jolt.

You impress no one with this chest-beating act and it won't make you feel any better about whatever's going on in your life 👍

There is nothing going on. You are basically admitting you’d pay if it’s the good times and give up in the bad times -this isn’t even bad.

Sorry your response is pathetic
