They don't deserve those of you who travel hundreds of miles to support them

The insinuation is there - and you'd wish for more Sheff wed fans than city on Saturday, which suggests that 'people stop going'/ Too late for me, as I've already got my ticket. I don't mind passionate feelings, but you seem very specific in terms of wanting certain individuals gone (I'm not sure who you want in?) it comes across as personal against individuals, and destructive. rather than constructive regarding the team (that said, I'd agree that the team could do with some help in this window)

They dont deserve the away support they get and il stand by that. We constantly sell out allocations the length and breadth of the country, and supporters are rewarded with garbage and spineless performances regularly.

Il also stand by wanting Austin and Williams gone. One has pissed our once in a generation chance of cash up the wall, the other has seen keepers regress under him and when made defence coach we've turned into one of the poorest defences in the league in the 10 months he's been in post

Id never tell fans not to go, people can do what they like of course. I'm saying the players don't deserve the amazing fans we have on the road

Finally a good point.

However I didn't get him too, he offered as we've known each other a while.

My main issue is the laxidaisical attitude from this side. We've all seen it and discussed it, the laughing with opposition after a drubbing, the laughing and shoulder shrugs after own goals or mistakes, the bottling of challenges by a lot of them.

The bare minimum we can expect is for them to give their all no? Do you honestly think every player in this side steps on the field currently with 110% effort and commitment, and do you think it hurts them when we get turned over (like it clearly did with the sides of the last few seasons)
I don't believe the players are evil or not trying. They were every unlucky yesterday

I don't like hearing that Eccles and lati were laughing but I imagine that's a generational issue now for all clubs. Social media generation and friends with everyone so less loyalty to their teammates etc

My opinion hasn't changed though. We will be comfortably mid table and if we get some key signings in we could go on a run.

First step beat sheff wed then draw non league team at home. All of a sudden people will be excited again and that's what we want

I am absolutely convinced we'll lose Saturday.
I'm dreading the thought of it.
And to make matters worse I'm starting dry January today after having a few yesterday so I'll be witnessing it sober.

Personally I feel spoiled with 7 years of nearly uninterrupted progress that seems to have hit the skids in 2024, I'd forgot what it was like for things to be a bit shit but I've seen way, way worse than anything that's going on right now.

This isn't me telling anyone they need to calm down or shouldn't rant and rave or whatever else, I just think we're in a lull but am still optimistic it won't last

Dry Jan has been the best part of holidays for me. I don't drink often but when I do I binge. I think I'm ready to knock alcohol on head completely tbh.

We don't have the divine right to win any game, look at teams like Everton, Birmingham when poor, Leeds when poor, Sunderland when poor and numerous others constantly take thousands away, it's football, yes it's hard at the minute. I think you're too used to 2017 onwards,, geez, I remember losing to the Oldhams away in the Premier league on a shit tuesday night, Northampton and Sutton in the cup. We're stuck in a rut at the moment, If you're fan you stick with it, I have since 1978

Yeah, all a bit weird. This thread and a few others are the equivalent of those Facebook threads where someone says they're "struggling" and all their Facebook 'friends' post, "Are you OK, Babe?" in reply.

Bet if there was a Wembley trip this coming weekend you'd be "arsed". Cannot understand the attitude of a lot of our fans nowadays. Not sure how they would have coped 30/40 years ago and the dirge we had to suffer most weeks.

As I've said before we've been spoilt over the last few years with great performances, promotions, Wembley trips, great players to watch. That was never going to last forever.

And, I am 100% sure the players care and aren't lazy or not trying. We can probably say some aren't good enough for the Championship but I don't believe they are taking the piss.

When the going gets tough the tough like to complain and say they can't be bothered, it seems.

What are the chances of King getting rid of them? You mentioned Austin on another thread saying King is quietly pissed off but nothing on Williams

Yeah, I'm looking to cut down.
Drink once or twice a week. Not really an issue but been training like mad, feel great but haven't lost weight which I'd like to so really need to combine the training with an improved diet and less alcohol..

Understand this and get both mindsets / points of view, but we haven’t been spoilt, we’ve bloody deserved it!

Most on this thread are forgetting one big thing here

we’ve spent in excess of 40 million on this team!
We’re not talking about sisu days where didn’t expect anything

spending that much money on a Team and seeing inept performances

in addition prices have gone up considerably especially matchday prices

people won’t pay the money to watch dull football

I did in the 80s, 90s 00s and up to 2017 apart from the odd one off season. If your a fan your a fan. I'm pissed off as much as anyone at the moment. Why do you keep mentioning Sisu, there were other owners before them you know, all selling chairman as well.

I’m talking about fans in general

for my generation (I’m 43) we had nothing to shout about for 30 years

then come along 2017 and everything changed for the better (mostly under sisu despite being worse owners of all time)

since then we’ve sold players and reinvested in bang average players but being told this team is top 6 deck

to see the team assembled with the most money spent since prem days and to see inept performances will push fans away

unsure why many can’t grasp this in addition to the highest prices we’ve had to pay to watch us

Apart from being a top flight club for 34 years? I much preferred the PL/Div 1 days, personally.

Running is great for clearing the mind and won't do you any harm.
As nick says it can hurt knees. But it is good for your heart. I'm not saying cardio is bad by any means

I said do less of it because for weight loss it's better to do walks. Your body quickly adapts to runs and they don't make a big weight loss difference after a while unless you up speed or distance and you can only do that so long and it will be hard too. Walks (by which I mean like 2 miles) keep the fat off while you weight train

At least that's my experience and it is backed by science if you Google it

FL may get better quality players during the next two windows. Let's see how it plays out before you start ripping up and throwing your ST onto the pitch

You obviously didn't go from 1995 to 2000, some memorable games, cup runs, home an away. One of the most enjoyable times of being a CCFC fan in my lifetime, and some tremendous players to boot

What is so disheartening for me is the fact that we have completely ballsed up our chance at "the process". We got a once-in-a-decade warchest from selling Gyokeres and Hamer and have wasted the money on a group of players who - for the most part - wouldn't look out of place in League One. You could maybe get £15m for Haji Wright but that's it.

Nothing about watching this team says to me that we will be challenging for promotion in the next 1-2 years. And the fear is that we will become another Stoke or Preston stuck in this league, or worse a team battling relegation. That is hard to take after years of constant progression.

Weight training. Minimum cardio emg walks and low carb diet

Works for me anyway

Wouldn’t be advocating a low carb diet (or any kind of fad diet). Appreciate everyone is different. I assume you more mean processed carbs like pasta / bread etc. Trying to limit processed food is the big one. If you’re going to eat pasta and bread go for wholewheat and do it before big exercise days.

Also, the science between running and walking is entirely dependent on “how” you run. You will likely burn more calories for longer doing a 30 minute hill sprint session than you will pottering about for 2 hours. Appreciate knees, mobility and age are a massive factor here so in that sense walking is also great!

Exactly, he’s nailed it, go back to the Northampton days when we’d of given anything just to be able to talk about the football, yes this seasons frustrating compared to the last few, but we‘ll get there , how about we all stop being fannies and feeling sorry for ourselves , get to every game and support the lads, it’ll come 100%,
