Most of our 1st team players are good enough for the Championship. We're not a 2 player team anymore like we were with Gyokeres and Hamer. We went on a near record run from January when our best players were injured. But if you want to compare us to sides that have the Prem money coming down then of course that's a different matter. We're not alone here. But slowly we're closing the gap.

Will probably all move on. That's a lot of quality we will need to replace, and replacing talent AND getting it right is quite a challenge.

It won't be the end of the world as we've done similar before, but to miss out now would be so disapointing having done the hard work and gone from 17th in the championship to 5th

MVE has been linked with other clubs and could go abroad, Prem is less likely. As impressive as he is for us there are better options out there on the world wide scouting network.
Rudoni? A promoted club most likely. If Sheffield United go up watch them upgrade on Callum O'Hare.
Sheaf no due to his injury record and age.
Wright abroad maybe but not Premier League. Let's face it Premier League clubs aren't even sure about Gyokeres.

I think the frustration is we’re doing our best to throw this opportunity away. Next season the league will be tougher.

It’s clear that we’ve had some key players out the last 3 months. This is MR’s squad bar Grimes. The players did well to get where we are given that we were relegation form prior to Lampard taking over.

Agree with Evo and many others. The fact we’re in the mix going into the last game still in a play off spot is some achievement especially after the start we had. Add to the fact that recently we’ve lost our keeper, first choice CB, 4m+ winger and yesterday one of the best RBs in the league. All key players especially Dovin. No wonder it’s been a struggle, especially against teams fighting for their lives (not to mention some bordering on disgraceful officiating)…but still got a good chance against Boro.

Look back at the Plymouth game thread. That's how obvious it was to me. Most expected a win.

You don't expect a Prem quality player for 5m or less. The players like Rudoni get bought for a lot more. Hamer went up there for 15m. You're deluded if you think it's easy to keep up with the Prem yoyo clubs. Give us the 100m and see if it improves us.

Can’t believe we are arguing over a playoff spot with 1 game to go and it’s totally in our hands. If anyone offered this at the start of the season we would all take it no matter how it happened.

Since the last international break and losing to Sheffield United it’s all been downhill really with unlucky injuries and some poor performances. Yesterday the players fought like lions and deserved a point and we were missing 5 first team players like someone said.

Yes we have faltered a bit but there are reasons but here we are. Whatever happens Saturday we will have a good summer under Lampard. He knows exactly what we need and he will get it im pretty sure if grimes is anything to go by.

Let’s get behind them Saturday and there is even a chance a draw would be enough either Millwall and Blackburn both tough away games. We are in a fantastic position and in theory 4 games away from the premier league. Thats the reality of it at this point. It’s incredible.
