who said they were shite?

not me

I said they are inconsistent which when it matters is never good
You said only 1 player is good enough for the Championship.

I'll leave it here with you. I await your excellent transfer target news in a few weeks. Could do with a laugh.

bash?

everything is facts

we have somehow still managed to stay in the playoffs despite inept performances

so you are telling me we’ve played well last 9 games to warrant the spot

we have got lucky so unsure how this is bashing

The teams around us have had inept performances.

Weeks back, the Opta ‘super computers’ believed 68-70 points would be enough for playoffs and they were correct.

The bottom teams all being on close to 50 points is ridiculously high and showcases just how difficult this league is.

Really disappointed the OP didn't just say "...at least that Argie fan got a ticket!". You're going soft, SBT.

We’ve lost every game he’s attended. Sorry Lauti but some things are more important than international friendship.

Doesn't he always come against Luton?

Sure the league game when he first came was that 1-1 when Godden scored for us. Then the play-off final (which was also a draw, though the ultimate outcome was a loss).

You'd think he'd want to see us play someone else. A penchant for watching us struggle to beat a team of battlers seems quite a niche interest.

Maybe he’s a secret Luton fan scamming the SBA? 🤔

Most of our 1st team players are good enough for the Championship. We're not a 2 player team anymore like we were with Gyokeres and Hamer. We went on a near record run from January when our best players were injured. But if you want to compare us to sides that have the Prem money coming down then of course that's a different matter. We're not alone here. But slowly we're closing the gap.
Most of our players are good enough for this league bar a couple, Tavares and Collins being the obvious weak points, we certainly must start the season with a much better first choice goalie than Collins.

Sure we could always get better players to replace ones we have and that may happen but the real issue is squad size, we are short of options on the right side in both defence and attack, another right back and right sided attacker is needed in addition to what we have.

It would also be sensible to replace Pato with a younger pacy and physical player if his contract isn't actually extended another season.

Edit: Forgot about Jamie Allen, a good professional but here we could do a bit better and I imagine he will be looking for 3 year deal which the club will probably not want to give him.

unlucky in those games

yesterday we didnt make the keeper do anything so hardly unlucky

sheff w at home again didnt play anything special

norwich i agree we were unlucky that day

i look at performances and on the whole the performances this season we havent look at top 6 team

we are very lucky to still be in the playoffs and in our hands

im not someone who slaughters referees but the Plymouth result would have been very different if he’s issued the red card

we have the 4th most points in the league since Lampard took over

I think it's obvious lampard is trying to influence refs moving forwards with his comments to media

And our fans rather than get behind him call it excuses or that they are losing faith in him

Yet the same fans ask us to be good at the dark arts of the game.

He really should have ensured they learned from Allen not going down
Binks showed us how to do it and Eccles then doesn’t respond

we have been very lucky this season

pompey last min wonder goal
sheff w away last min howler from keeper

thats 4 points from poor performance but freak finishes

hand on heart from the position we were in after Sunderland to be where we are now is criminal. we shouldn’t have to be going into boro game needing to win

we’ve won 3 from 9 and lost 5 of them
Surely that works both ways?

I hope we don't loose any of our good players in the summer, let Frank have a summer recruitment if his signings are as good as Grimes, then we should be top 6 next season in the Championship. He knows what players we need and he knows what players we have that don't cut the grain, I am excited for next season, I just don't think we are ready for going up this season.

He will know who he wants out and who he wants in

We will be better next season I have no doubt and that's very encouraging

Personally I would like to see Eccles Allen bidwell collins leave for sure if we can find better replacements

Then in open to likes of jds lati Simms going if lampard sees fit

I’ll always argue you make your own luck. Great to get those goals sure but in both people forced the issue whether that was Simms putting pressure on a young keeper ( as he was told to by Grimes), or the team pilling on top of pompy at the death ( Thomas being up front so the CB had a harder time dealing with it).

Still we are struggling at the moment to form quality chances away from home. Lucky for us so have Boro and Bristol

Yep I actually thought we were pretty impressive for how well we coped defensively with 10 men for 60mins.

Middlesbrough aren't in good shape either. Get some bodies back and get behind the team at a full CBS and we have a great chance.

Fail and we can learn from the mistakes. We need a good start next season, proper depth in all positions (no cover for MvE is borderline abuse!)

Lots of positives and still in our own hands which is pretty incredible considering where we were when Robins left and how we've had a late season injury pile up
Best post I’ve read on here in years 👍

It’s fair because the amount of decision that have gone against us has been worrying. Usually it evens out but barring Haji’s goal v Burnley (which is well within a margin of error), I can’t think of any glaring decisions we got away with.

We're in the playoffs with 1 home game to go. I doubt anybody would have turned that down at the start of the season. If anybody did when MR was sacked they would be mad.

To be unhappy with how we got there is entitlement and I'd hate if being a reasonably succesful club turned fans into entitled wankers like the ones the other end of the M69.

There have been plenty of displays of entitlement over the last few years and I've no doubt it will continue.

Its amazing what a few Wembley trips can do.

Nope - we should’ve been home and dry but we’ve also rode our luck at times, we’ve got close to 20 points from stoppage time winner this season.

It’s like the last game of the season in L2 where there will be tension if we can finish in the playoffs or not. Ultimately, Boro need to win whereas a draw should be enough for us so we’re in a good position going into the final day.

There’s a lot to be optimistic about going into the off-season, regardless of which league we’ll be in.

What's your point here? The squad is what it is, the 6th best in the league after 45 games. God forbid people actually looking forward to a home game to get in the play offs.
If we can’t get over the line at home then we don’t deserve to be there, which funnily is what the table will say.

I think we’ll do it personally.
