He's a very unhappy manFor a man who works in Marketing you sure do have a strange superiority complex about other peoples jobs.
It’s an accurate assessment and probably above a primary school assistants capability to analyse
Sisu would of sold Hamer to the first team that came knocking by now.But do you seriously think if we swapped DK with Sisu and everything was as it is now (ex Simms), Sisu would've sanctioned Sakamoto, Binks, Van Ewijk, Latibeaudiere etc?
They wouldn't even sanction international scouting??

I used to troll when I didn't like my job. Since career change don't have the time or motivation anymore lol
One of my year 10s wrote me the loveliest letter on the last day btw. After van erwick it's the best thing to happen to me in last 7 days lol
Assume it will be today. They should just announce this now after the embarrassment last night.

I’ve got a box of letters and cards I got when teaching and there’s nothing better than to pull it out when you’re low. (Please don’t ruin this post with penis jokes SBT)

What issue do you think they’d have with Simms and why?The Gyokeres sale and the fact the contracts of high earning (and often non performing) players ran down out the end of last season means all this activity will initially fund itself.
The wages I suspect of the overseas signings will be containable within the existing structure
I don’t think the previous owner would have had much issue with signing the players we have signed - I suspect they would have baulked at Simms signing due to his contract and not the fee.
That ultimately will be when we see if king is different. The funding of operating losses as and when the costs exceed annual turnover.

Hey it’s a well trodden pipeline. I used to work with Guz Khan. Greg Davies and Romesh Ranganathan were teachers, who knows maybe we’ll see you on Live At The Appolo in a few years.
Have we got any info on his wages or is that largely an assumption based on his Everton wages?Wages and contract length

Agreed, the fact that 22 players left the club from various levels frees up a lot of cash for wages (we saved loan fees as well) I'd expect a much smaller squad this season but operating at a higher standard ( quality rather than quantity)The Gyokeres sale and the fact the contracts of high earning (and often non performing) players ran down out the end of last season means all this activity will initially fund itself.

I think one fundamental difference is that they had long given up any meaningful interest in the day to day of the club whereas Mr King appears the exact opposite. For example in overhauling the commercial side of the club, or in committing to training ground improvements without being forced. The Gyokeres sale and the fact the contracts of high earning (and often non performing) players ran down out the end of last season means all this activity will initially fund itself.

We don’t know how much Doug actually paid for the club but he could easily have banked the Vik and Hamer money and have totally derisked his ownership. The notion of his” money is a somewhat false one … any revenue is in effect his now.I think one fundamental difference is that they had long given up any meaningful interest in the day to day of the club whereas Mr King appears the exact opposite. I would probably agree he isn't spending much if any of his own personal capital but his motives do seem different to his predecessors.
He seems to just be doing what a normal businessman would be doing, which we haven't had in so long it seems weird. We don’t know how much Doug actually paid for the club but he could easily have banked the Vik and Hamer money and have totally derisked his ownership. The fact he hasn’t and is shaking up all aspects of the club is to be applauded.

No wonder there’s so many thick f@ckers aboutJim Bowen was a teacher I believe and Tom O Connor
Think Bowen was a deputy-head and also a dustman. No wonder there’s so many thick f@ckers about
Don't worry @Saddlebrains will take good care of his balls!Hmmm. If only we had a speedy right sided player to take advantage of those balls…
Multi lingual? Robins said Sakamoto is learning English but who other than that do you think can't speak good English?Been mulling over, as a paid up prophet of doom, why we should not be getting too carried away
1. Plenty of clubs have spent big and not gone up (we heard fans like Stoke's complaining that they had spent money but not got a team as good as ours). It is no guarantee
2. Post Covid Championship clubs have not spent quite so liberally. For a brief window City's low cost model was more competitive.
3. Norwich & Watford badly underperformed last year. This year there will three relegated plus them, plus Boro, Sunderland, Millwall and WBA. Last year clubs like Blackburn did their damnedest to throw away the chance of promotion and we motored through the middle.
4. The 22-23 side had continuity. At times last Spring the 1st eleven was made up of 7 with over 2 years with the club (Gyokeres at 2 and a bit being the most recent) plus three loans and Bidwell. Not this year, with a vengeance.
5. Last time Robins built a team from scratch was League 2 ['Concrete Rod' McDonald, Peter Vincenti, Marc McNulty, a young Dom Hyam plus Bayliss and Shipley]. It has its own challenges. And it will be more multi-lingual.
There are plenty of upsides. I don't need to list them, and it is the best the Club has been since Dublin, Huckerby and Boateng but please do not be too hard on management and players if it does not work from day 1
Incidentally, where does O'Hare fit in? Palmer appears to be growing in stature and Saka looks very similar as a player.
I'm getting bastoni vibes. Strides into opposition half then plays angled balls to striker or wingback

As for O’Hare we have to wait until he is fit. Impossible to say whether he will get up to the same level again until then.
