Comparing a title winning club legend and former captain to some lad who played a game as Coventry on fifa is quite something.
McFadzean doesn’t have as many supporters points as me and that’s the end of the matter

I honestly haven't read all of this thread so forgive me if this has been already been answered but how would the club monitor someone with xxx points buying a ticket for a friend who has very little? Surely they won't know?

The points system is there for a reason

otherwise the same 1000 will buy tickets every week and rightly or wrongly either sell on or not go but still get the points

The club are proactively looking at forums now and issuing warnings and cancelling tickets to people reselling

I sold my spare ST to a mate in exchange for a pint a few weeks ago - is it ok to wait for the police to take me into custody or should I turn myself in?
@napolimp Hope you don’t mind but reading this confession I can’t take the guilt anymore so have handed us both in for the Portsmouth game.

My point is that fans and players do exactly the same thing with their spare tickets, and anyone running around complaining to teacher about how unfair it is (or in your case illegal lol) is just being a nerd

Big difference between fans and players

one gets points the other doesn’t

You're doing that weird thing where you are wrong but can't handle it so post sarky nonsense again.

Yeah I thought it was all okay. On away tickets while I’m sure it has to be monitored more harshly. I don’t see the big issue here. If his mate has clocked he’s coming back on holiday and bought him a ticket, that’s life no?

Can you only buy one away ticket per supporter number?
when it's not general sale you can buy more than one but they have to be assigned at point of sale to a supporter with the required points,

I’m quite comfortable in my stance of “Shifting spare tickets to your friends occasionally is fine” versus your position of “Shifting spare tickets is illegal and I’m extremely cross about it”

so you think it’s right the club are banning fans for selling on tickets?

Did the supporter buy a ticket from another supporter or was it bought for him?

I don’t who you are referring to here

there is various Facebook forums including ticket selling one where the club have identified fans selling tickets and as a result cancelling tickets and banning the seller

Sorry mate thought it was people being annoyed at the Argentinian lad. I’m saying if he hasn’t bought his ticket and was gifted it? Has he broke any club rules?

passing on tickets is against the rules full stop

the club have set a precedent clamping down but seems like they are picking and choosing who they sanction

Reading the club rules all it states is

“3. Match Tickets may not be re-sold or lent for value under any circumstances.”

This would imply you can gift tickets as long as no value is given? Unless I’m missing something?

It’d be interesting to hear their justification for why it’s fine for the Argentinian.

home tickets like Season Tickets yes but away tickets have different terms which would be set by the Home team.

no I didnt

I said fans built friendships with players families because they met regularly at away games

not sure why you would think that meant fans got tickets of them

in L1 and L2 you could get tickets for every game and same faces. people regularly spoke to players friends and family because of it

This is what it shows for match day tickets. Could look at Luton tho as they could be different
The vast majority of the tickets the club has been cancelling are people who have sold their tickets and stupidly posted it about it online.

There will be others for other reasons but the above is the main reason I have seen.

Yeah so Luton don’t have any declared rules on this. Covs rules say you can as long as no value is spent. So assume you can gift tickets?

Maybe one to ask in a forum
