We're about middling for conceding chances and bottom 4 for conceding goals from those chances...

Loads of stats here - Championship Goalkeeper Stats | FBref.com

This really doesn't reflect well on Collins. Expected goals conceded with him in goal is 14.4, we've actually conceded 22.

The league rank is the far left column. Collins is 51st out of 51...

Wilson will need to be an absolute shit show not yo improve on that

Collins is having a dreadful season no arguments there. His fuck ups have become a meme outside of CCFC FFS.

At least you’d have shown some ability by getting into the right positions. Clean sheets have been invented to give GKs something like goals like assists were invented for midfielders. Assists are stupid for a variety of reasons but still infinitely better than clean sheets for an individual stat. You might as well give an award to the player who has been on the winning team the most.

I'm not bothered whether we have a golden gloves award or not.
Couldn't give a toss if they stop it tomorrow. .
But while they're handing it out, to say a keeper who wins it didn't contribute to getting it is ridiculous.

They contributed as much as the other ten players on the pitch in those games.

An award for most saves or highest prevented xG I’d be all over. I think Wilson did OK there that season on those but since has been dreadful. Anyone expecting the second coming of Gordon Banks tomorrow will be in for disappointment

Nobody’s expecting that, just someone not chucking it in his own net and who won’t implode after a setback.

Wilson, like nearly all our recent keepers, has regressed.
I'm not expecting the 2nd coming of Gordon Banks, I'm expecting him to be less shit than Colliins.

I don't think he's regressed as such, he was what he is. He was incredibly well protected in the previous play off season and it suited him that we sat really deep. He's more exposed now in that he's less well protected and we play a high line. It's terrifying really as his decision making to come off his line isn't the best.

If it was you would you keep Collins in goal then?

None are a patch on Dovin but surely Wilson is worth a gamble

Another game where we are likely to need 2 or 3 goals to to take anything home with us. We have what we have GK/defensive wise, time for the forwards to chip in again.

Just stopping a few shots that are straight at him would be great (y)

I've lost count of the number of times over the years we've come against a team that has had to use it's back-up keeper. Not once has it ever resulted in said keeper being anything other than solid and dependable. Yet here we are with two keepers to choose from and shitting ourselves that whichever one we pick they will throw at least a couple in for Luton tomorrow. What a shambolic situation we find ourselves in. 🤣

This is the real issue with Wilson is we will have to abandon the high line I think. Though that may be a blessing in disguise with two games we need to draw and a knock out competition coming up

This is the worst I've felt going into a game for a long time, nerves are all over the place

If it helps, I would suggest the game means nothing in reality, even if we lose (barring a dramatic goal swing) we will go into next Saturday with our fate in our own hands.

If we win and Middlesbrough win, it’s still the same and we will still need a result on Saturday. The only set of results that could determine anything, would see us confirmed in the play offs.

I wouldn’t worry too much.

The pitch at Kenilworth Road I think we’ll get away with it. All the other games though, either you give Wilson a crash course in Quantum High Line Theory or we ditch it

I feel pretty chilled about this one in all honesty, feels a bit like a free hit to help relegate Luton which is a nice free hit. I've already accepted that best case we'll end up needing a draw final day and worst case we'll end up needing a win. I don't mind needing a win.

Well, best case we guarantee ourselves a playoff spot tomorrow.

Never expected us to get into the playoffs after the start of the season. Would be slightly disappointing not to end in them now.

Can see both us and Boro dropping points, as well as the remaining stragglers.

I'm fine about tomorrow. Pleased it's an early kick off, pleased it's an easier journey than Hull and Plymouth.

Que sera sera and all that. We'll be fine.

I'm hoping Leeds hammer BCFC on Monday night too. Something to look forward to.

Same really, I feel really confident with us being at home on the final day.
I think we'll have enough tomorrow to at least get a draw

I am thinking the same and if we are beaten again tomorrow, I am just going to accept the fact that we probably are just not good enough for a top 6 place.
