I think that, over the weekend fixtures, Bristol and us will lose and Middlesbrough and Millwall will win.

That will mean Bristol will have 67 points and the other three will have 66, so it would go to the wire. A draw against Middlesbrough at the CBS would mean that they finish above us on goal difference.

We really need a point tomorrow.

I've rarely watched Luton play this season but I don't think they've been terribly lately - bit like Plymouth they'll hit us on the counter a lot.

Wilson surely has to start. Same with Dasilva for a bit more pace down the left side.

Sheaf should be fit to start.

Not sure who should start up top - I'd like to hope Bassette is fine so he can be an option late on to bring off the bench.

Further note, need to get Rudoni, Grimes and Sakamoto on the ball more - they'll provide the creativity to break down what's expected to be a low block tomorrow.

We have a top end Championship team, since Lampard has come in we’ve been operating at Top 4 form. Even under Robins the underlying data metrics suggested we were massively underperforming.

It’s the defensive mistakes and GK errors that have cost us dearly this season throughout.

Regardless of how this season ends, we need a better defence (including GK) as well as a couple of additions in the forwards, including out wide.

This team is really close to being right up there in this league.
You're talking about replacing over half the team. How can it be "really close to being right up there"?

Don't often (ever) say "must win", but this is a must win.

Hopefully JDS and Sheaf will be back in the 11. As for the keeper situation, I think we're between a rock and a hard place. Neither of our choices are great.

The only must win is ‘Boro at home, if we lose this one

First and foremost, it’s a squad game and there’s been times this season where there isn’t any game changers to bring on. The best example is our wide players, we only have 2 out and out wingers contracted for 25/26.

There’s also planning ahead for some departures which could be anything from 5 players around the fringes of team, that assumes the likes of Sheaf, MVE and Wright stay.

Since Lampard has joined the club, most teams have played 27 games and in that period, we’ve been the 4th best team in the league and only 2 points off Sheff U. If you add more quality, then we’re gonna even better and pushing towards the Top 2 and you can’t underestimate that gap from 4-6th and the top 3 in the Championship.

This. We’re lacking options up front and at fullback, which are both areas you want high energy and the ability to refresh. First team is probably only a CB/LB short in theory but beyond that we’re thin.

Particularly with our wingers. Sakamoto and EMC are good players but when they have ineffectual games, who is on the bench to change the game? I’m hoping for more from EMC next season as he’s shown some great glimpses but the season has been stop-start for him. Sakamoto, imo, would make a fantastic role player in a top 3 team but he doesn’t have the consistent output to be the main guy.

It’s lucky MVE is a robust player because he’s had to play nearly every minute of every game this season and last.

Even at CM, the people happy with Andrews being a 4/5th choice in preseason were made to look silly given how many injuries we’ve picked there.

At LB, Bidwell and JDS aren’t really Top 6 calibre imo. Defensively, I’m not convinced with Lati and Binks as backups and a top end CB would elevate Thomas and Kitching imo.

It sounds like a fancy way of saying they're out for a week. Missing Bassette for week we can handle. EMC was out already. Positive spin, everyone's back fit if we make the playoffs, and Thomas is back sooner.
Dovin isn't...and that's the key one let's be honest

I think we can rule out wing backs with 3 fit CBs... Although you could play Bidwell at LCB & can flex with a back 4... but I doubt it & would expect the same formation, with Wilson, DaSilva & Sheaf coming in.
