Does anyone have confidence in getting the required result next week with Collins in goal because I don't
Not for me. Collins and Binks had played well. The former created the chance for Luton so takes more of the blame - but Binks attempt was fucking laughable - embarrassing.
That's cos you are as negative as they come tbhI'm going to go back to we played 40 minutes with equal numbers and amassed just 3 shots.
0-13 11v11 (13 mins)
68- 96 10v10 (28 mins)
We made just 1 one change after Walsh's sending off and that was BTA in the 92nd minute after they scored. He could have freshened it up earlier.JDS was sent off on 13 minutes and there were 9 minutes of added time. Playing a man down takes more work, so it's no surprise we had less energy after Walsh was sent off.
I completely agree - still was a dog shit attempt of clearing the shot.He wouldn't have needed to make the attempt if Collins had stayed on his line rather than come 15 yards to punch Kitching in the back of the head.
But the final 27 minutes were after a total of 64 minutes of playing with 10 men .I'm going to go back to we played 40 minutes with equal numbers and amassed just 3 shots.

Again, the only sub he makes after Walsh gets sent off is BTA on 92 mins after we go 1-0 down. But the final 27 minutes were after a total of 64 minutes of playing with 10 men .
Cardiff looked far better than we did when they spent similar time with 10 men against us than we did against LutonBut the final 27 minutes were after a total of 64 minutes of playing with 10 men .
Yep - a proactive manager makes the changes to try and push for the win - Frank just sat on his hands as he often does. Only thing really so far that frustrates me so much about him/edwardsAgain, the only sub he makes after Walsh gets sent off is BTA on 92 mins after we go 1-0 down.
Options off the bench were reasonably limited though at least from an attacking perspective - Paterson maybe but they were a big team Luton. Rapha would have been a bit of a gamble.Again, the only sub he makes after Walsh gets sent off is BTA on 92 mins after we go 1-0 down.

I reckon there’s probably frustration that they took simms off and then Walsh gets sent off. He’d probably have stayed on if they knew that was coming. Could have gone two up the middle then.
anyways it’s gone. A lot of ifs, buts and maybes
Yet bizarrely still going on about the hypothetical scenario that we wouldn't have lost last week had the other team been down to 10. Rapidly losing faith in Lampard.@shmmeee lampard said he has no complaints about the red because they are the rules .. what are your thoughts mate

We really aren’t, we’ll end up about 25-30 points off second place.Let's not forget Thomas, Dovin, Mason-Clarke, Torp and Milan didn't play.
Arguably 5 first team starters.
You then add Dasilva's red card in the mix, you have to say we played our hearts out.
Luton literally put every fucking thing on the line today, they had to.
I can only look at Simms and Collins and just shake my head, but I think at this point it's absolutely evident both players will be told they are surplus to requirements in the summer.
When I look at our squad, we aren't far away. We need a 1st choice keeper with Dovin out, we desperately need someone of that left hand side, that can run all day long like Milan. We desperately need a centre forward aswell thst has a first touch and can link up the play.
I se us needing 3 more players that are first team quality, when put like that, we really have to get this summer window right.
Simms, Collins, Asante must be moved on in the summer. If we can get 6 million quid then it's a bonus.
But we are so close to being a squad that's good enough to be promoted automatically.

Midfield was fucked, Allen on for A N other definitelyWe made just 1 one change after Walsh's sending off and that was BTA in the 92nd minute after they scored. He could have freshened it up earlier.
I think it entirely depends on recruitment, if the club go and recruit 3/ 4 players that are top draw, we really have a chance.Agree with most but in my opinion miles off a top 2 side
Simms is feeding off scraps in terms of chances though - fair enough people can go on about movement and work rate. But at Plymouth Simms had one chance and got it on target and it led to goal. Today he had nothing.I think it entirely depends on recruitment, if the club go and recruit 3/ 4 players that are top draw, we really have a chance.
I've been a massive critic of our defenders, but Kitching for me has really impressed of late.
If we had someone on that left hand side that was as mobile as Milan/Sakamoto and had the work rate to want to track back and help out, it would make a huge difference.
The goalkeeping situation is honestly destroying us and Simms playing is another massive negative. The guy does absolutely nothing and it's bad enough with Haji's lack of work rate, but at least Haj actually scores goals.
I genuinely believe if the board and scouting really get it right in the summer we can make a serious push.
After today I want Luton gone.Silver linings and all that…. If results go the way I want them, Preston and Cardiff can get relegated. Will be glad to see the back of them
England women's looking like they're gonna tear the French a new one in the egg chasing.
Erm, every cloud, maybe?
Yes just said that on another thread. I feel slightly better nowStrangely Luton’s late goal hasn’t made any real difference to what’s needed in the last game
To add a little more context - The one legged arse kicking contest that is the 'race' to claim 6th spot, goes to the final day.Strangely Luton’s late goal hasn’t made any real difference to what’s needed in the last game
Yeah, but who's hands ultimately?Still in top 6 going into last game, still in our hands
