Received a message from the club saying there will be no hot pies sausage rolls and pasties etc for the Bolton match in the lounge /bars etc and unfortunately this maybe the case for the remainder of the season - talks are ongoing- not sure what the situation with the rest of the stadium - very odd

Nick. Everything is out of their control. That's the point. Nothing is ever their fault and we our customers of CCFC nobody else!!

Sausage rolls, pies and pasties want nothing to do with ccfc following the actions of the pitch invaders. The club is now completely unsavoury.

Very good :)

Wait for the press release battle with an explanation from CCFC and a "it's sisu's fault" in reply.

On first day of season they removed hot meals that could be purchased on a match day in the lounges. No warning about this until we turned up. They have now advised you can't even buy hot pasties or pies. Point is we pay more for corporate tickets and it's part of our match day experience to be able to buy a hot meal in the lounge as we travel from Derby. When we complained they blame everyone else. Catering company etc etc. It's a cost cutting exercise. No point spending extra money on the tickets. Anyway not bothered won't be there next season.

I've read different things about corporate.

That they have to pre-order without knowing how many and have to pretty much pay retail pricing for it and end up losing money.

My heart bleeds for them. Is it any different to anywhere else that provides food? Just take an average of the numbers last year and year before and book those. What's so difficult? Point is the match day experience is rubbish and we pay more and I actually do not care to try to explain it because we wont get tickets next year. It is no longer enjoyable. Aggro and the football not worth it.

Nick, the club are watching SBT ;)

"@Coventry-city: As we said, it is out of the control of CCFC. The e-mail sent to corporate members is on your website #PUSB"

Well if there's no hot food, I'm sure whoever's responsible won't mind if some bright spark sets up a catering van on the car park and makes a killing.

This is nothing to do with the club. Very diplomatic tweet from CCFC highlights this. Wasps pull all sorts of tricks like this all the time to undermine CCFC but none of it ever gets out and as we all know Wasps can do no wrong. Ask questions of Wasps/ Compass, not CCFC

Yep, people don't seem to know the full story and it's all the club's fault and no mention of Wasps / Compass.

They used to be really strict about food going in, years ago I asked about a kids party there as I thought it would be good to have them at the ground with sky blue sam. I wasn't allowed to take any food in at all and it was £10 per kid for Nuggets and Chips.

In this instance surely the club can't Be at fault?!

They are a customer of the stadium owners. The caterers are employed by the stadium owners. The caterers have pulled the catering (couldn't make it up. 'You had one job' comes to mind!).

Where in this have the club done wrong?

Yes we are their customers (whether we like being referred to as that is a different matter), but unless they personally have the contract, I'm not sure how they can be blamed.

Would have been a better story had the club arranged alternative food arrangements, but I'm guessing wasps wouldn't allow that (still, if I was the club I'd be looking at alternatives; i mean how many do we get in corporate anyway? Surely some local chippy would gladly take an order for pie and chips? Bit of free publicity? Then again, if the club did that, would it get any publicity at all for the CET and the like?)

And speaking of that, what's the betting the CET get hold of this and make a negative article up against the club?

Would suggest that ACL are the ones making this choice.
I suggests someone hasn't paid for something they'd (or thought they'd) agreed about previously.

Last thing I heard was that you can't do your own food in there and it has to be through them. :(

Is that avatar of yours from a real sign( hope so) or one that has been photoshopped?
I saw it somewhere and kept it . I'd imagine it is photo shopped.

Unless they haven't paid etc.

Still, let's see what the reason is before all getting riled up :) (not saying you are!)

It will be to do with having to order loads of food no matter what the orders are or something I reckon and still paying silly money for it.
