Where did I say that? :thinking about:
All I am saying that this appointment needs to be the right one for the future not just for a short term fix.
Have explained why I am totally uninspired by Brown. For me his star is on the wane. One great spell, downhill since.
It's not just Brown. Feel exactly the same way about Ince too amongst others.
A manager is paid to inspire the players not the fans !!!
This is a problem in the mordern game to many people trying to get involved and its fans expectations like yours Otis that gets managers sacked.
Just leave the manager to get on with his job whoever it will be. He will have a big enough task just turning the players into a team !!!
The danger is that Brown is another Dowie or Coleman. Someone who demonstrated brief success at one club which was not again repeated. I know a few Hull fans and they say he became a laughing stock by the end of his tenure then. I would really be concerned at his ability to resolve the many issues at the club.

Shaw is likely to be in charge against Tranmere, according to SSN , no new appointment this week with interviews / discussions continuing.
Very easy to see why people would be against Brown but for the likes of Chris Wilder for instance.
Brown - 3 managerial positions, sacked from all 3.
Wilder - 2 managerial positions, never sacked.
Brown win ratio's, last 3 clubs
15%
33%
29%
Wilder win ratio's, 2 clubs
38%
46%
One on the wane, the other on the rise. Brown's last achievement .... 3 years ago.

Thought he'd finish up at a better club than Coventry. Good manager IMO. Good luck Phil!!
Maybe he should have lost the play off final and spent another season smashing the championship apart to improve his win %That season staying up in the Premier League really killed his Hull stats. I suppose he should have won that league just to make his stats look a bit better in your world
Thank God Chris Wilder (is that his name? Does anybody really know who he is?) is available. We wouldn't want to hire someone who took a shit team to the Premier League, not when Chris Wilder??! is available.

No one on here has ever said Brown is a miracle worker Otis,, you shouldn't make things up just to support your view.
Also Harry Redknapp was sacked in his last job, so does that make him a rubbish manager who's star is on the wane too ?
For me Holloway's "star was on the wane" before he got the Blackpool job, a gobby long ball merchant who played horrible football and had been sacked from Leicester after only 6 months. Then after a year out of the game it was all change, and the rest we know
Hmmm not really - Leicester is his only blip on his CV, and your forgetting that Leicester was a step up from Plymouth in terms of size, finance and expectations.
Brown on the other hand had been in the PL relegated and sacked then went to a smaller club and got relegated into League One and sacked.
Yeah at Hull he worked miracles. And?!
I'm getting tired of hearing this 'star is on the wane bollocks'. Management is about decision making - they're not athletes who get old and past it - or singers whose musical style goes out of fashion.
By your Redknapp logic if Phil Brown has a stormer here then it proves he was very good all along.
So who do we think is the final 3?
