I certainly did, in the bowels of the west stand my first one in 67-68Are yes them were the days !
There you go NOPM only harms city, not sisu.
Well of course sisu don’t harm NOPM. Was this some awful attempt at being clever? There you go SISU only harms city, not NOPM.
Screw you otis we’re a massive club.I'm a bit baffled as to how anyone can be insulted by what Mark Robins has said.
All he is asking for is for fans to go and support the team.
We can't do anything about Sisu, but we can do something to help this lovely little football club of ours.
We expected to get straight back into the PL so the management then opted not to have a sliding scale for lower divisions.
and I was just starting to like Robins again.
Easy for Robins to say. He is not a Coventry fan. I don't go anymore. SISU have ruined it for me. I have a young lad who I am desparate to have him support the city -but not at any cost. These people have zero interest in the city or the people of Coventry and we will never move on with them in charge. Moving us to Northampton was unforgiveable. I am not about to sell out regardless of an F.A Cup 4th round tie at a franchise club or us being high up in the 4th tier. I find it quite insulting that Robins is saying that to be honest. Not all of us city fans are pawns who can be won over by a few words or a few wins.
I stay away and will do so until these b!stards leave.

.Robins didn't move us to Northampton did he?
What are you insulted about exactly? What would you want him to say?
Fans are increasingly incredibly fickle. You obviously don't go, but I can assure you, when the City are winning all the Sisu out chants stop. When we are losing they start up again.
Do you want us to get promotion or not? The way I see it, that is the only way Sisu will be gone, IF we are successful.
We are third and have a great chance of going up this year. There is nothing insulting at all in what Mark Robins has said. There ARE two sides to every story and all he is saying is that we need to see past that. Sisu obviously has some kind of duty to their shareholders, but that is absolutely the last thing on my mind when I take my seat at the Ricoh. Of course there are two sides. He is not saying both sides have the same validity.
Do you think Robins is interested in Sisu? Are the players?
This is just a football team trying to win games.
I will never forgive Sisu for taking us to Northampton either, but we came back, we are here again! We now have a decent team and are doing well.
Would you rather us win matches and gain promotion or sink further into the abyss. We go down there is absolutely no sign that Sisu will go.
Everything Robins has said is not contentious. All he is saying is to put things to one side and get behind the team you love.
Life's too short for all this shit and we cannot get rid of Sisu until they are ready to leave.
I would urge every fan to come back, support their team and try and get this club out of this division. The more fans stay away the more likely we will be out of this division, but not heading in the right direction!
Sure, we can respect people's decisions, but then those that are staying away have to accept they are hurting Coventry City Football Club and not Sisu.Peoples decisions should be respected, we have the worst owners in English football, something a lot of people don't easily ignore.
It's never been the fans fault why we're down so low, you know that don't you?!Sure, we can respect people's decisions, but then those that are staying away have to accept they are hurting Coventry City Football Club and not Sisu.
Have people had a serious look at where this whole thing could go?
We don't get the support, the manager can't build a competitive squad. We don't build a competitive squad we are going to sink further.
What happens if we go down and then go down again and then Sisu leave?
People are already staying away, not because of Sisu, but because of the lack of quality football at this level and the opposition we play.
If we were non league and Sisu went, we still wouldn't have a stadium to play in and the attendances would be even lower, cos trust me, people are going to be saying they can't be arsed to watch Coventry City against Brackley Town and Gainsborough Trinity.
Can people not see the catch 22?
By the time we get rid of Sisu using this NOPM method we are going to be so low in the pyramid that fans aren't going to want to watch anyway and won't come back to support the club.
You then have to stand back and ask yourself what you have achieved.
Things have changed though haven't they? It's never been the fans fault why we're down so low, you know that don't you?!
No offense to you Otis but all that sounded like just what Tim Fisher said at the forum, trying to sway SISU's awful decisions by blaming the stay away fans.
Yep and he's just saying let us put the past behind us for now, or at least put it out of our minds and just focus on the most important thing, our club.I think once we all realise we all love the club more than hating the owners the clubs sinking ship will start to surface once again!
Robins has started the turn around and we should be backing him, we do that he gets more money we get better players because of it and we carry on progressing!
his comments just reflect that and we should respect them and hopefully it encourages more to come to home games to back this exciting team!
We’d already been in the championship for 4 years when we got there you lunatic.
We had the support and were in the Championship when they arrived. Again it is a convenient “spin” by Fisher et al that it’s “the fans fault” if people don’t go to the Ricoh and “we will cut the budget accordingly”Playing at this level was down to incompetence last year rather than budget. Budget wise we are league 1, we should be a championship team. Without support we won't get back there.

Boddy I thought, may have had a different approach but he has reverted to type when he revealed that “there is a shortfall in the budget for this season” which anyone could have told him that after relegation and ticket price rises, that LESS people would be attending this season. It doesn’t take a Chief Executive to work that one out.
All it needs is people who do go regularly to matches is to talk at least one person to go to the next match that doubles the fate and is not impossible!
I talked someone from work to go to Wycombe match pre Xmas. They then took their partner and kid to stoke match. We were then talking about stoke match in office and someone else who hasn’t been all season is now going to mk.
Increasing crowds is a snowball effect
So guessing your suggestion is to sell more players.
Ok, I appreciate there is prize money, but the more access to revenue we have the better, whatever that may be. Simplest thing is to get fans in the ground. No-one (yes, no-one) wants Sisu here but it is what it is. By not attending people aren't punishing Sisu they are punishing Mark Robins, the team & their fellow fans. I think for most people now it's just a convenient excuse. It might make them feel like they're taking the moral high ground even, but in reality it's quite the opposite.

The arguments between us all really do need to stop.
Where's Tim Fisher? He's behind you!Oh no they don't
True-but the budget set by the hierarchy in the summer was based on higher gates that we are now getting? Anyone with an ounce of knowledge would know that gates would be 8000 at best. Were we not talking on here in the summer of 5-6000 gates at best this season? If they were setting the budget on anything above that they were insane.I was simply stating factual information that refuted your contention that "our only real revenue is ticket sales", extra ticket sales however may be the only feasible source of extra revenue short of selling players or having a good cup run/prestige draw, that I certainly don't deny.
