@procdoc what can you see through the hedge ?It looks like it’s definitely happening
It's too perfect...Thought we'd signed somebody from St Etienne at some point.
Fabien Debec played for St Etienne after he left us.Thought we'd signed somebody from St Etienne at some point.
If it all gets spent on the players fair enough, but the minute it’s not the fans will see through it. This is the big question mark in this transfer window. Robins got nothing in the last transfer window and the league season was derailed. We will soon find out what doug is all about.Depends on the situation don’t it. I love sheaf - don’t want to sell him, but if selling Sheaf brings in 15m - we can then buy 3 5m players.
that way you’re building a better squads, like someone said - that’s the Brentford model and it’s relatively successful. Then next season you potentially sell MVE for 15m and the process goes again - 3 5m players
we spent £7 million in the last window Thorp and Ephron-ClarkIf it all gets spent on the players fair enough, but the minute it’s not the fans will see through it. Don't get them startedI refuse to believe this is happening until there are at least 3 pages of songs ideas

Hamertime we know you’re a passionate fan but wow this is a strange take. Do you consider the facts ? Consider but dismiss them ? or go straight to emotion ?If it all gets spent on the players fair enough, but the minute it’s not the fans will see through it. just bitter he cant afford it anymoreWe spent ~7m last window, got Torp and secured EMC.
Still bitter about the box prices I see
It's easy to get convinced with stats and youtube highlight reels, we've been down that road many a time and been disappointed.I unfortunately don’t get the time to go down the enjoyable rabbit holes of foreign player analysis and trying to identify players in the more obscure leagues, so until yesterday this wasn’t a player I had heard of.
However, there’s a few on here who have a great player analysis network (and I think do it as part of their job) - and they all seem to be excited, which is a box tick.
Second box tick is the analysis and stats I’ve read since.
So in the space of 48 hours, he’s gone from an unknown to a player I desperately want us to sign!
The experience you're talking about was virtually useless. All those players moving on is for the best. Although I agree that Alan Browne coming in would be a good move. It's easy to get convinced with stats and youtube highlight reels, we've been down that road many a time and been disappointed.
So far we've brought in 2 wingers, neither of them have kicked a ball at championship level, and neither has Marco Stamenic.
Granted they all look very exciting, and hopefully will rip this league apart, but we've lost some real experience with the likes of Fadz and Kelly moving on and the possibility of Godden, Bidwell, Wilson and maybe Parker leaving too.
That's why I'd like to see the likes of Alan Browne and one or two other experienced players (age 26-28 ish) coming in and giving us some "older and wiser" heads around the place.
I too would like to see a couple of experienced heads in and around the first 11 , mainly CB /keeper and possibly midfieldIt's easy to get convinced with stats and youtube highlight reels, we've been down that road many a time and been disappointed.

Derailing the season to get Ephron on the cheap.we spent £7 million in the last window Thorp and Ephron-Clark
Straight to emotion I always say the first thing in think of. Haven’t to the time to analyse the facts I have a life.Hamertime we know you’re a passionate fan but wow this is a strange take. Do you consider the facts ? Consider but dismiss them ? or go straight to emotion ?

Money always talks.Or loan him back or risk not making the signing at all.
