Well, it did appear to be somewhat of a coup, and now probably weeks if not months of scouting and work getting the transfer done are completely wasted. We now have to restart from scratch with presumably less preferable targets??? That's why I assume people are 'arsed'.

I doubt they are starting from scratch with scouting potential replacements. There will be a shortlist of names that have already been well researched

Fair risk though - he was going to be a starter here but won't be where he's going. Careers stall as quickly as they rise without game time (look at Kalvin Phillips) or he could easily be in the Championship next season with Forest.

I think most players/agents won't read anything into this apart from them holding out for a PL club. I don't think it will affect our scouting at all

Just don't know what to believe, as agonising as it on the transfer front just got to wait till its official.... He does look classy on the ball and his passing is really good, if he does come to us then those passes out to the wing for Wright/EMC/Tats/Rodriques/MVE will cause all sorts of problems for teams

If you read scouting reports he was a project with a high upside and you do realise you can work on multiple transfers at the same time.
