Really? Sheaf was the second best player on the pitch? They had at least 8 better players than us. And at least 6 of our players were better than him. Not sure what he is.
Yes becuase I would be rating their players, feel free to drop 6 better players in sky-blue better than sheaf todya bar mcallum who would been Best player with sheaf.

They were there for the taking, massive pale in comparison to Bournemouth, Brentford, Blackburn, Bristol City.

Yet we still lose 2-0.

The formation and tactics simply aren't working and we have no plan b.

We’re same pal, last season we had the lowest wage bill in the division, and was the only team not to have loan players with other clubs contributing to the wages, and we made a small profit.

The only teams that are punished in this league are the ones trying to do things right.
You've got to get on you're own forum, we don't care what you have to say, come. In when we face you then fuck off.

Absolutely abysmal, if you can’t get anything in that game we might as well get ready for league one. Sheaf, Allen and Shipley completely anonymous. I really worry about our midfield, way too lightweight, Hamer is trying to run the show on his own. We don’t seem to be able to hold onto the ball for more than 4-5 passes, really concerned.
Sheaf anonymous? One of our only players to get on the ball much and tried to get us moving

Disappointing in every aspect. The negative tactics and performance would be fine if they’d have resulted in a draw/victory.

Things are not looking great but let’s not all lose our heads. There are positives to be taken still and once MR has decided on his strongest team/everyone is available we may have more of a chance.

I think it’s clear we’re lacking a AM and while Godden is doing the best he can in an unforgiving role, if we’re going to play more direct and defensive he isn’t the right person for that role. It’s not playing to his strengths.

Sheaf is constantly improving, but while he’s only had a handful of sub appearances and covid, I’m not too Walker is the person we should all be pinning our hopes on just let.

Friday will be tough viewing, but we have enough to survive.

The game changed completely after the subs tbh... And not in a good way
We’ve gone 2 up front taking off a midfielder a few times now mate and it’s effected us badly worrying as how are we meant to change things if we can’t sacrifice a midfielder for a striker we’re a couple of quality players short for me

Most encouraging defeat of the season for me. Robins has clearly gone for a reset in defence and for 80 minutes it worked pretty well but he got a bit over aggressive with his subs, which is unusual for him. I still think the formation, with the players we have in it, is shite at this level. We can't afford Shipley and Allen from the start at this point in the season.

Godden has fuck all pace but he can finish. He’s being played as a lone striker and hoof ball up to him. That’s on Robins...need to try something else

Spot on

Get the ball in the box to him and he’ll get goals. Hoof it up to him against 6ft+ centre backs and long balls for him to chase then he’s going to look shit because that’s not his game.

This league is definitely dominated by pace and power... Really and please don't laugh... 433 with kastaneer on the right doesn't seem a bad shout right now.... Or am I fucking losing my mind

Probably every time we are losing away to the team in 7th place?

Why are you acting like this is a game we should be winning?

We might as well give up now then. If that's what it's going to be evey week. Crying about the fact the team are above us in the table, have more money, have a striker who played champions league 35 years ago. It's always something.

Most teams that come up from league 1 could say all that, but many of them survive. Luton rolled up their sleeves and got on with it, as did Barnsley. We need to do the same and stop this game of top trumps every time we lose like it means anything.

I trust Robins to turn this around, and yes, take points off the top teams because that's how football works.

So frustrating man. Every now and then we get into good areas but we just don't have the pace or quality to make it count.

You can make this argument every week. Should we just not play and accept us going down now?
Nobody is saying we should not try and accept relegation 8 games into the season. But at the same time there needs to be a level of realism. It was only a few weeks ago when the fixtures came out that this board was full of comments that we'd struggle to win a game and were certainties for relegation. Why all of a sudden are people expecting us to win every game?

With the exception of Wycombe we've got the smallest budget in the league, staying up will be a minor miracle. Every game the commentators highlight a single opposition player that cost our entire budget multiple times over.

People are talking like this is a squad Robins has chosen for the Championship when it clearly isn't. You could probably only label Hamer as a genuine Championship level signed and even he was cheap by Championship standards.

Baka has both pace and power but the ability to stay on side, yet to be seen.

Shipley flapped a tap in and followed up by a ridiculous ball to Godden who was free in the box-really poor from him tonight though perhaps brought back too soon
