RVN got the new manager bounce with the 6 finger mob yesterday , those very same players who did not play for the Goblin(Steve Cooper) run their bollox of for RVN. So if city players don't do the same for FL I would say it could be that they have reached their peak of performance, which is quite worrying for Austin!!!

West Ham had 31 attempts on goal and but for bad finishing and good goalkeeping it could have been very different. Seems he's a lucky manager.

I’m hoping Lampard has proper 1-1s with all the key players.
He should start with Sheaf and take him for a coffee post training. Ask him what he thinks is working and what isn’t and build the guy up a bit using his experience etc . Needs to be a proper coaching conversation but also a clear expectation of how he wants to see Sheaf lead and play.
I suspect Robins did very little of that and it’s desperately needed given most of the issues seem to be mindset based.
What on earth led you to suspect that Robins didn't have such conversations with players?

Hang on a moment, I am not Steve Cooper how dare you 🤣

Also they came up against the premiership version of us at the moment. If West Ham could finish they would have won that easily. I’d compare it more to Ruben who only got a draw to start but now he’s had a couple of weeks in them they’ve got a good result against Everton

If Millwall were playing their huge centre backs, I would have said Saka would have run rings round them. If they arent playing, we need some robustness in that role
Didn't know we'd bought the Arsenal star.
Saka needs his mojo back.

The evidence of the last 6 months. That was the role Adi did .
I know Adi did all the coaching set up but doubt Robins wouldn't of taken people to have those discussions.

Mind you to play devils advocate, Robins was laid back about the previous squads as he would say they would police themselves and based on Saddle Faz and Kelly were real leaders behind the scenes and organised alot from there end as well as hold team meetings.

Maybe Robins did struggle with this group. Not impossible considering managing young players is difficult and I think this is the youngest squad he ever had at the club. He did make quite a few comments on imo how he was struggling to manage them with the whole social media issues and the Preston after match.

MvE Thomas Kitching Binks
Eccles Torp Rudoni
Saka Simms EMC

I've gone for Binks LB because Dasilva will get bullied and I'm not sure Bidwell is fit. It could be a disaster.

Left Sheaf out because I think he's carrying an injury and I don't want him to put himself out for ages.

Simms to start as I think he'll benefit from the two wingers, with the likes of Bassette and BTA coming on with their energy later on.

I don’t get the negativity around Rudoni. Probably our best player this season so far. What he has is quality on the ball and a bit of creativity with an eye for goal. He’s also improved our set piece. Great signing for me.
Just out of interest, what would people think O'Hare would have cost had he not been out of contract? Was Rudoni £5m or did that include all the add-ons?

Definitely not our best player but you can see what he brings. Will be better when we can get our patterns of play sorted out too.

Kitching in one of the training photos in Instagram. Hope he has been brought back into the fold. Does anyone know why he had been sidelined?

Though the quoted price to Burnley was £7 million. His major injury would have knocked quite a bit off that, as he was never quite the same player, to date. Don't think he would have moved if we had offered him a contract when he first came back from injury.
Robins wanted him to stay. A free transfer is less of a gamble than a big fee.
Don't understand the hate for O'Hare he was great for us.
Think all the players we have signed have add ons usually if we get promoted ho ho.

Should bring Gordon Ramsay in to sort them out like he does the chefs who can’t cook omelettes

Our defence is absolutely wank. Not even the best managers on the planet could make them any good. They make Dave Busst and David Rennie look like prime Baldini

I don't think our defence (other than the goalkeeper situation) is the problem...its our midfield! Eccles and Sheaf are very ponderous. Neither of them track their midfielders (which is where a lot of our conceded goals come from), neither of them press, neither of them can hit quick balls into the channels (when Bassette or Simms are constantly making runs into). Both of them constantly give it away in bad areas. Its the midfield that needs sorting.

I personally don’t think it’s the midfields fault we concede from nearly every shot we face.

Catching up on the phone in from Saturday and an angry caller has mentioned that in the last 3 games, we have faced 8 shots on target and conceded 6 goals. Enough is enough Collins needs to be transfer listed for anyone gullible enough to want him and the locks changed at the training ground. Our defenders are all shit and Collins is making it worse.
