It's get boring answering the same question over and over because someone can't or doesn't read your answer.
LM was mentioned in the thread as getting their statement written by the council.
So this was a new one to add to the list of ridiculous conspiracies. Guardian, MPs, council, cet, development companies burying time capsules. Now a train company
Can you ask me this question again please in 5 minutes.....
Work for the council?
You are very defensive of them though, especially the way you go through and reply to every post individually to prove it...
You have in the past.
You are very defensive of most posts regarding SISU.
I would leave you to it. However when you pull others up suggesting they have agenda's, they are not interested in the football club. When they nearly do the same as you but from a different angle. Then what is the harm in balancing the arguement and highlighting when false allegations are made against the CET or LM. Ect.,,,
Do you see me going through a thread a few hours old and replying to every post individually? It has never happened.
Can you show me a post being defensive of SISU?
Looks like we could get it as well
Anywho, amidst the childish squabbling... BHSB, where did you hear this?
Cwr this morning
Ask Nick to help youTa. Personally, I'd get the train every time I went if it was available.
Would be interesting to get some numbers from users on here as to who else would (I don't know how to start a poll...).

Sure, if you let me know the question and the options I can make one for you.
Dodging the question I see, something which you seem so enamoured to point out to other posters when they do it. So when were MP's and the Guardian mentioned?
Its easy to make your point when you elaborate it to suit your arguement.
Will reply re the guardian when I get chance Moff.
BA is Ainsworth
The suggestion is he will kick up a fuss if it's SISU related not council related
Jesus......
Council control LM, Wasps and the CET
Looks like we could get it as well
I would hope so. We were originally told that the issue was the availability of rolling stock to provide the services, so it's nice they have now managed to find some. Might be easier for us to pay for the same privilege to LM if we had access to all the money we generate, but that is another kettle of fish. Our crowds are comparable to Wasps and the demand would be high.
So someone (Wasps/London Midland) chartered the rolling stock, i.e it is available but at a price. There will also be no capacity to transport concert-goers - unless sponsors charter trains for major events.
You are being rather inaccurate, the CT said.. http://www.coventrytelegraph.net/news/coventry-news/video-first-trains-pull-coventry-10750990

The other issue regarding trains to CCFC is about who would use the service, if it is only local fans the demand would not be so high, you are asking people to change their behaviour which isn't guaranteed.,
However if there was a well supported London club visiting (like Arsenal/West Ham/Spurs) then maybe chartering trains makes sense, but it is a risk.
I think it is perfectly sensible for CCFC to let Wasps take the financial risk & run the experiment with the Choo Choos. If it works then maybe CCFC management can identify some likely fixtures to try the idea for themselves.
Thanks Dongo. I appreciate you taking the time to answer.
I hope you now realise it was a genuine question, and I apologise it took some bickering* to get where we are now.
* (I sometimes could be a bit better with my choice of words)
I am not being inaccurate at all, I quoted London Midland from the article in summer 2015:
'A spokesman for the train operator told the Telegraph: “The issue is that the service is one single diesel carriage that has 75 seats. We have been clear about that from the start of the project.“At the moment there aren’t any more trains available in the country to run that service.'

The position has now changed. I personally feel the demand from football fans would be high since it mitigates the issue of parking space and lengthy bus journeys in and out of town, I could be wrong. But this station should have been open and functioning from the moment the ground opened for business in 2005.
That statement doesn't apply to extra chartered trains for special events, like these 2 events.London Midland has also said there will be no expansion to the hourly service on matchdays.
Keep splitting those hairs and you'll get a medal for pedantry. So are you. We're not "concert goers", are we?
They were talking about an hourly service on all matchdays in that article.

Right, but the jist of the statement at the time was that a matchday service was deemed uneconomical because they didn't have the rolling stock. Now for certain matchdays they have changed their position and means they must have found additional stock.
There was another article later where LM said they would need to charter to provide the extra capacity. The cost of the charter meant a return from Cov - Ricoh would be £17.
The impression I got in the first instance was that there weren't enough trains available full stop. What grinds me a bit about the LM statement is that they claim to have 'listened to fans and stakeholders' wanting a service but then disregard the football club which is drawing similar numbers.
Its pretty obvious Wasps are paying for this. Why they are trying to make it seem like they aren't is very strange. If both Wasps and LM had just come out and said it at worst there would have been complaints SISU weren't doing the same.

As I understand it Wasps/LM trains are taking a punt on running a service for a couple of 'big' matches & seeing how it goes.
If it is not popular one or both companies will lose money. Hopefully CCFC can get an idea of what the numbers were without taking that risk & take a position on doing it or not.

I don't know, but you coming on and replying to every post in a weird posting style isn't helping.
Very much an agenda this evening.
