Doug needs to realise that his strategy of buy young and improve will only work with a mixture of signings, Robins himself has mentioned the characters have all been moved on, if we don't get the balance right and get a couple of leaders in the dressing room, King will not see a return on his investment in players. I'd be very interested to know just how much of a say Robins has in transfers now. I think previously Robins said what type of player he wanted and presented with a list. Now it seems the opposite where the signings are presented to Robins. He seems to mention about Austin putting his neck on the line each time we make a signing...

Sunderland have tried the buy young to sell for a profit the last two seasons and it was evident that it didnt work. This season they have bought Brown and a couple of other more experienced players in and look at the difference as much as it pains me to say it. Not signing Brown was a massive fck up by us

It has been said we have an elite set up now like the Prem clubs. Managers ask for what they want but rarely get the final say. Don't know, but that may be the case now with MR.

I still think we need to give EMC time.

He may be low on confidence/struggling to adjust to the higher level, I don't know, but we need to give him more time than we have so far, rather than just write him off as shite after 9 games and he hasn't even featured in all them.

We wrote Wright and Simms off early last season too.

I don't think we can judge EMC just yet. He may have been shit so far and that's fine to say, but I'm not so sure we can declare him as, that he IS shit.

We paid over £4 million for this guy, he's been with the squad over 3 months. I want him desperately to succeed after all the hype but thus far…..he lacks pace, spatial awareness, confidence, he has one step over option to take on players…..I just haven’t seen anything yet that makes me think we haven’t been done over for that money.

Play wing backs and utilise MVE and JDS.

If Rudoni is tiring you can bring on Tats at home or Torp away.

Our wide players are not firing this season and our defence leaks goals ….. time to change it up.

Looking more and more that we need a change every match imo. Wish in someways we didn’t spend the money the transfers brought in. Feel like it would be a lot more like a Robins team.

I agree fully with that. Lack of movement and also when players do make runs we are too slow to spot it and too slow to deliver the ball.
