As for Proschwitz am willing to give him a chance. Would be worried if he didn't bring in another striker too though. Think he can do a job but don't expect him to be prolific.

There is a pattern developing here and I echo someone else's comments that Mr Mowbray is finding it more difficult than he anticipated bringing players in to SISU Cobblers FC after they reduced us to a laughing stock for several years. I feel for the bloke I really do !

Forest green let him come to us on loan as he wasnt getting in their team. why would they have done that if they wanted him to saty beyond this season and were intending on offering him a new contract ?
I am not debating if we should sign him or not, but its pretty clear that Forest Green dont want him
or can't afford him. A bit like us and Murphy the other year.

Exactly so he didn't fit in with their budget. It doesn't mean we won't get value for money from him or he won't develop with us. Have you considered we might have offered him less than he was on at Forest Green? The lad has just got married and probably wants to stay at this level. We may have offered less but still been his best offer!
Maybe, time is ticking now and all the cynics like me are beginning to wonder where the real progress on the pitch is coming from. Still some time to go but if we having nothing further in the bag by the end of next week than a few kids and a few of last years failures then it's time to be concerned ?

Well Ashdowm there's only one real solution isn't there, get shut of Mowbray before he makes a pigs ear of things. I get the feeling nothing short of Messi will be good enough for you and you are sitting and waiting for the first dud to come through the door.
He played 133 games for them including18 last season (part of which he was injured). 129 of those he started. Let's stop this nonsense about him bring a reserve or not being good enough at Forest Green.
And another thing to contemplate. Tony Mowbray is in the position with almost a clean slate, squad down to the bare bones. He has got rid of those he doesn't want, signing or attempting to sign those he does, added a few decent kids to the group, will secure some good quality loans and now hunting some icing on the cake. I believe he will sign players better than what we have, has carefully looked at the squad for a couple of months and knows exactly what he requires to make us compete at the top end of this division. Proshwichz is a better player than given credit for on here and i unclude myself as being too quick to critisise him, he will be relativelyinexpensive, buying strikers is usually the biggest cost to any team build. We need one more imo. We also need a supply chain to back them up, width and pace and a tough guy in the middle of the park, get one and i think we will see a better Robert Fleck.

Coventry City are eyeing a loan move for Forest Green left-back Chris Stokes before the end of the season, according to the Stroud News & Journal.
The 23-year-old is understood to have been training with the Sky Blues during the last week and could now link up with his former Forest Green boss, City's new development coach, Dave Hockaday at the Ricoh Arena.
Yeovil Town were considering a permanent move for the defender during January and he was training with the Glovers after he had lost his place in the Forest Green side to Marcus Kelly.
We have one in my opinion or one who deserves a chance. With a decent proper defence in front of him Leigh Burge. Whether TM thinks the same we will soon discover and he might bring an experienced, older goalie, i thought the Crewe game apart and lets be honest the whole team buckled that night, young Burge grew in confidence and improved and made some crucial saves too.And a decent keeper might help !?
