So, Robins is clueless?

Doesn't make sense. He's been such a fabulous manager for us.
Hes a fantastic manager.

Hes turned ot around many many times and he will again. I have no doubt about it.

We arnt that far off. Last night West brom very lucky. Just like we had a lucky evening against Blackburn

Plenty. We created 1 chance in the second half, not numerous. Continues to let Eccles take free kicks which are just a waste of time. I really am sick of hearing it takes time to gel. Boro lost there two best players aswell, they were poor at first but Carrick has got them gelled.
Bollocks, if he tells them to shoot when they are around the box and they dont because they want to walk the ball into the net its not his fault. He cant kick every ball for them, the players are shot shy and risk averse at the minute, they not him are bottling it.

Togetherness of the squad that was soft as fuck? Kids against men 🙃 Lower half champ/League 1 players?

Yeh it was totally different last year 😂

I'm not really sure togetherness is the same as being soft.

We may have had more possession but we didn't dominate.
WBA sat back and watched while our midfield and wing backs interchanged passes 25/30 yards out..
Someone on the phone in last night said exactly what I had thought myself. They were afraid to shoot because they were afraid to lose possession.

Performances and results have been very poor but I think Robins deserves a while longer.

By no means is he unsackable though. Football is a results business and if he’s not getting results then Doug will step in. Ranieri won the league with Leicester and they still sacked him a few seasons later.

“Credit in the bank” will only take him so far. Some on here are completely delusional thinking he has as long as he wants. Stop fooling yourselves.

I would tell Wright and the back 3 - you have 5 games together, I am not going to change you - Prove me right

I would play a midfield of
Sheaf and Allen as the holders and Tats and COH as the top of the box (Allen is more progressive than Eccles even in the defensive role, and we will create more)

I would drop Jay De silva for Bidwell

oh its so boringgg mate its different every single year with hindsight, until one year it wont be and everyone will be like I TOLD YOU SO. Broken clock is right twice a day and all that

The absolute frothing that was happening last year was the same and everything had gone to shit because we had sold Dom Hyam on the last day and O Hare had an ACL injury. It was sooooo different that year to any other time and had no idea how we would get through it

We had two players scoring a lot of goals and creating loads of assists - so who is doing that this year?

Bollocks?
Do you actually watch our games?
WBA 15 shots no goals
Rotherham 23 shots no goals
Bristol 12 shots no goals
Norwich 21 shots no goals (it was an oggy not from our shot)
Thats 71 shots with no goals. Hardly not shooting in games are we.

Two more bad defeats and the key for the gun cabinet will be getting a little stare.

West Brom amassed more xg than us despite sitting on a lead for 75 minutes. We did not create numerous opportunities. Our best chance was created by their defender.

For all our possession/territory we looked toothless. Robins needs to be getting them to move the ball quicker and go from back to front faster to give our offensive players space to operate in.

Aside from the missed chance Wright had a decent game last night, but we’re so slow to get the ball to him that he’s crowded out by the time we even try.

Fucking Xg again.

Looking at our November fixtures

Preston A - they’re in poor form, although have had a hard run. Objectively we’d want at least a draw but with our record I’m not confident.

Stoke H - mid table but have had an extremely difficult last 5 which they’ve done well to get 2 wins from. Home games need to be wins though.

Millwall A - Poor side, should win

Plymouth H - Poor side, long travel, must win

I’d be really worried if we took less than 6 points from these. Then if you get into December, where we do have some difficult games, I think Robins job could be on the line. If we’re in the relegation zone at Christmas…

It’s actually formatted xG if you’re bothering to capitalise.

Weird obsession with trying to relate football opinions to sex lives on here. The virgins doth protest too much…

How do you think each of those sides is viewing us?

Only one of those I’d be relatively confident of us winning is Plymouth.

I’ll tell you in a year, that’s sort of the point

Gyokeres had already had a season scoring goals. If you take hamer and Gyokeres goals out from last season there’s a huge void and I personally can’t see where the goals will come

We are also conceding goals far more

xG isn't a football opinion, it's a meaningless stat to make people who can't manage a football opinion themselves think that it gives them some insight.

It doesn't.
It’s not meaningless though is it. A team could have 40 shots but all come from 35 yards out.

with xG it assigns the likelyhood of scoring - take Bristol City for example. We had something like 12 shots, we’re said to have dominated. Whilst we dominated possession we had 1 shot on target.
