Third one was much better than last season’s home mess of a shirt.

Even though it's the same kit many other clubs have? I'd rather an average kit than the same as other clubs.

1 year deal ffs, going to have to do this all over again next year 😂 #prayforSaddle

Initial 1 yr. Both parties want something from this so guess they're playing it safe. For Monzo, a 1 yr risk is far safer than possibly accepting a 5 yr loss. With the new Sky TV deal, think they'll be happy with the additional exposure so an extension shouldn't be hard to negotiate.

It should be a fun partnership based on how they operate

Yep, and we're thinking on Twitter that the August mentioned is only the start of the Championship season, not that the deal begins then. We've friendlies coming up and I doubt we'd have shirts without the Monzo sponsorship for them alone.

Probably be more beneficial for us. Promotion is the aim. Front of shirt will be worth a hell of a lot more in the PL.

We will have to wait for our bonanza. But Monzo will get something out of this year. More Cov fans signing up for accounts for a start. Then the exposure of national TV coverage at games, far more than just a 30 sec advert on ITV. And if they're involved in our commercial outreach, that could draw more customers in as well.

They won't spend money on us unless they see a financially viable path for themselves too.

But ultimately, noone will know what the real benefits will be for either party for a few years.

Anyone know roughly how much we get for a front of shirt sponsor? Wonder if this is enough to add a few extra quid to our transfer budget? Particularly as monzo are a big company, might be worth a bit?
