You are an embrassment, well suited to the CET.
Cheers, can I put you down as a reference on my CV?

There ain't many people involved in anything other than the fan side that dare come on here. I can see why with twats targeting them like you.
Sounds awful I think I shall just continue on calling in the Ricoh
Cheers, can I put you down as a reference on my CV?
Appreciate that. I just thought that it was worth pointing out in the article that if Wasps could secure CCFC's tenancy for the duration of the stadium sponsorship that would be an added value (as the secured acts are) to any potential stadium sponsor. Highlighting it as a reason for Wasps to get a deal done with CCFC. I made the point yesterday that CCFC's value is more than collecting the rent and taking a share of the F&B. Your article seems to confirm that by using concerts as an example, why not use CCFC as an example also. After all CCFC will play more gigs at the Ricoh than all the music acts put together over the course of the year surely that makes CCFC a bigger asset to a sponsor than a few gigs given that the stadium name will be mentioned every other Saturday in the media and even appear on live TV once or twice (maybe more, cup runs dependent) a year. Surely Stadium Sponsorship is about exposure? Surely CCFC can offer more of that than not just the gigs but also Wasps themselves, given that football is a far higher profile sport than Rugby? Even league one football.
Just feel you've missed the obvious angle on the story on this one.
Isnt the forum a matter of opinion? His differs to yours, so it hardly renders him a twat.

Not sure how many jobs require goading football fans on a forum and writing for a rag.
Is that a yes?

Do you go on the Wasps forum and goad there fans as well?
Being abusive to people who may have a little insider knowledge is just out of order. What happened to respect for others. We all know what journos are like and why they write the way they do. If he didn't write the stories someone else would.

I suspect many more people are reading his articles for a variety of reasons.
The Wasps ones are certainly being critiqued on here.
I think it's programmed into us now.
He comes across as arrogant and he is only on here to post links to increase their readership. Oh, and to try and find his next 'exclusive'

You're a cov fan. I guarantee that anyone reading that as a non Cov fan wouldn't be telling the writer that he's written it from the wrong angle.
Probably keep your sex life out of the thread?gilberts alright in my book, i called him an assehole once and he took it on the chin
RESPECT
That may be, but he may also be able to give us a little bit of insider info or answer questions about the articles. Abuse him and he won't stick around to do so.
He has to date given no inside knowledge.
He expects some people to be less than impressed doesn't hide who he is and doesn't seem bothered at those of us who challenge him so it's fair enough and it opens the debate about impartiality of the CET.
He certainly isn't like a certain high profile (in his own little mind) former poster who got very prickly when he was told what I thought of him
I think Simon can rise above a bit of negative criticism, but I agree with your earlier point that his view is welcome on the whether we agree or not.
To be fair Sickboy was just giving his opinion, and i have seen worse abuse on the site.
The Telgraph is a matter of opinion as well and Simon will know that based on the readership figures, some will like it, some dont. I also think the site does the CET some favors as well, and posting on the forum, increases traffic towards their website. So its a matter of the rough and the smooth.
Happy to respond sensibly to constructive criticism and explain why things have been carried out in the way they have. If it's not constructive, I'm probably not going to be able to offer much constructive in return.
I visit the forum to engage with supporters and discover what issues are important to you. I seek to provide answers where I can and raise concerns with those in positions of power regularly. Believe it or not, I take pride in my work and aim to carry it out to the highest possible standard. If I was not prepared to listen to feedback, how would I improve?
Accusations of bias and conspiracy seem to emerge from the same posters. If those people don't believe you the first time you say it isn't true, there's little point continuing to engage on that particular topic.
That's not to say we couldn't do things better, or pay more attention to the way we word, place or illustrate stories from time to time. There's always room for improvement.
This site does drive some traffic to the CT, but the level generated certainly wouldn't justify the time spent here - and it isn't my primary motivation. For example, 3,108 people have read today's 'Ricoh Arena sponsorship' story and 52 of those views came from Sky Blues Talk. Similarly, 7,705 people read the 'We want City to stay' story yesterday - 203 were from Sky Blues Talk (2.6%). But, of course, all readers are valued.
Yes, respect to him. I think you mean reference not referee ( but it is a football forum ;-) ).
Someone who gives a reference is called a referee.
