Give him a chance. Rangers are a poor side playing on crap pitches against 'low blocks'. Not particularly easy for wingers. As stated above, it wasn't working out for Mikey Johnstone at Celtic and he was an excellent loan for WBA last season. Give the lad a chance he's clearly rated by some big clubs there must be a reason

I am not doubting his ability or what lampard can get from him , but over a year out injured by 24 and season after season injuries is surely a concern no ?

Just because we are signing him we don't have to pretend he isn't injury prone

Yeh fair observation. If it's a loan then the risk is lower though. Got to roll the dice on a player sometimes

Atleast a month out every season for the last 6 seasons.. be fine here though mate 😂

Realistically, is a month of every season that bad? ( I don't know, genuinely asking)

I can't think of many of our players who have been consistently available to play all season (other than MVE).

As a minimum ? Id say so last 3 seasons he's missed 17, 19 and 20 games

We've been here before signing injury hit players , haven't we

Could be wrong but don't Rangers play a ridiculous amount of games per season so those numbers could be skewed.

I'm sure a few years ago when they got to the Europa League final they played something silly like 65.

Josh Eccles doesn't miss many.

Surely their entire squad has the same demand ?

Apologies, let's not discuss the long injury record of a potential signing 😂 not a real forum sometimes I swear

There were a few comments on the rangers forum thread about how every time he looks to be getting into his stride he gets injured.

Not really my point. I'm saying on the face of it, missing 17 games in a season isn't great but probably accounts for 3 months per season for Rangers.

Obviously less than ideal as mentioned but it's no worse really than Sheaf.

There's also an element where you wonder how often they rush players back with such a packed schedule.

Ok , many fans would see sheaf leave because he's out so often though

It’s a half season loan with a cheap buy option. He’s got time to prove his quality and fitness and we get a bargain, or we just send him back in June. Don’t really see the downside, he was highly rated not long ago.

We are paying his wages regardless I'm sure , I think it's a perfectly valid concern that we are signing a player who has struggled every season with injury

Do we?

Saka, Wright and EMC. Rudoni has played there but isn’t a winger. It took 2 injuries to necessitate a change in system because we didn’t have the personnel to play 4-2-3-1.

It was the same last season when MVE was a makeshift RW.
Exactly this

4 months wages is a minuscule cost.

Lighten up, it’s good business. Can’t wait to see him score the winner in the playoff final.
