Do your research-progressive manager from Norway that has a great tactical nous and has taken a lower league team to top tier.

Honestly sir, I don't think my research matters a jot. In the small time I allowed myself I learnt that he took one of the biggest clubs in Norway from the 2nd tier back to the top division. Google used to be useful but now it won't even tell me if Eric Hornland speaks English. The modern world sucks.

If he is appointed manager I will cheer on my team. Am I swapping him for Robins? Idk?

Wilfried Nancy - Columbus
Henrik Rydstrom - Malmo
Christian Eichner - Karlsruher

All fairly young. All like to attack and press. Top two have won titles.

Also think Carsley is a decent shout. He had the U21s playing some incredible football at the recent Euros.
Seem good shouts those from abroad mate.

in this country youā€™re looking at a Eustace, Lincoln manager, maybe even des Buckingham

As I said on a previous thread I think it will be Russell Martin when he is sacked from Southampton.

But the thought of Lati, Kitching and Thomas playing tiki taka out from the back gives me nightmares.

All good shouts. Wilfried Nancy would be an interesting shout if he would come from the MLS.

Plays a 3-4-3 which you could argue suits our squad as well.

Couple of overseas managers mentioned that I know nothing of. All the rest listed are either crap, in a job that we can't afford or unrealistic. If Doug won't sign loans or older players, it will be a cheap option from the backroom staff promoted. I'm not adverse to a change, but if these are our options, then I'd rather stick than twist.

I canā€™t imagine that the guy who was willing to spend Ā£13m on transfers this summer with no outgoings, has invested in the training ground and stadium, and doubled the size of the backroom staff is now going to cheap out on the most important position at the club.

He did it with all the backroom staff, and the playing side by refusing loans or experience. So I can.

Agree, doesn't add up and is just a cowardly excuse not to act.

If we are to believe Saddlebrains it wasn't King that shut down Alan Browne for example. Sounds like we were close and then Robins ghosted him when eggs were in another basket. There's no way of knowing what King says yes or no to for certain.

I havenā€™t thought about other managers and I donā€™t really want to. Iā€™ve loved following the Sky Blues under Mark Robins. If youā€™d told in the Northampton season that weā€™d win a trophy at Wembley, get promoted, have players like Gyokeres and Hamer in our shirt, watch matches like Notts County and Wolves away, go to Wembley multiple times, I wouldnā€™t have believed you. If itā€™s the end of the road with Mark, I hope it happens between him and Doug with thanks, dignity and respect for Mark, especially if itā€™s true he has lost his mum recently.

Were just going to pretend that after seven years Robins has decided he doesnā€™t need loans or experience all on his own?

I know youā€™ve got an agenda now mate but careful what you wish for. I have seen nothing from King that makes me confident in his ability to pick a manager.

The team Carsley had was ridiculous. Canā€™t play like that in the championshipā€¦in menā€™s football. See England v Greece.

There's no agenda other than to not get relegated. I've seen teams that look completely fucked before and this is one, people burying their heads in the sand that it's nothing to do with Robins won't change that.
I know you think he's done some weird shit this season from stuff you've written in match threads so I think it's just denial from most.
Relegation would be an absolute disaster and it's a real possibility atm.

itā€™s too late to shut down the crazy hysteria on here, but yeah- itā€™s not nice the way that weā€™re now stripping Robins of his his dignity by asking people to name his successor while heā€™s still in the job. Itā€™s been a wake up call to how shit a proportion of our fans actually are to be honest.

The point of the thread was actually to expose people wanting him gone as being unable to suggest anyone better.

I do. I just think Robins has been hamstrung and so will the next guy. Careful you donā€™t put everything on Robins when it seems a lot of it is King.

Most managers operate in limitations in this league.

Robins only success is essence was when he worked under Sisu so he can hardly barometer this owner against them for putting constraints on him.

youā€™ve been wanting him out for years, no matter what has been happening.

So what? When results decline and performances are failing then fans will want a change. Itā€™s normal.

This may be a silly question, and itā€™s likely one youā€™ll sidestep, but Iā€™ll ask anyway- do you think that Robins should be given time to turn it around?

Seems to me this shit show started when we got an owner who was having his name chanted, and decided he knew best how to manage a football club.
Something he had previously admitted he knew nothing about.
So in essence the people to blame, are the dozey barstewards singing that stupid song.
(sorry couldnā€™t resist the last sentence).

It's been far more toxic since the song was booed.

Our atmosphere has been truly pathetic ever since that moment.

Itā€™s not down to me booing the song letā€™s be honest. The atmosphere is poor because results are poor.

No, results have been poor before and it didnā€™t have an impact.

To be honest itā€™s probably just a cycle thing, itā€™s normal enough when a club grows for the atmosphere to change, as you have a bigger proportion who are attracted to come along and have the mindset ā€œgo on then, entertain me & score four, or Iā€™ll just sit here in silence and maybe even do a bit of booing at the endā€.
