Asked if he can say what the keeper has done, the manager said: “No, I have been told I can’t do it, got to stop doing it. It’s data protection.”

You're either wrong or playing bullshit semantics. GDPR - General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)
No, it would be pedantic to clarify that since Brexit, it is UK GDPR.

.....I'll go now

Pre Brexit too. All EU regs were passed into UK law.
Technically it was the Data Protection Act 2018 that introduced the provisions of the GDPR, which pre-dates the European Union (Withdrawal) Act 2018.

...this is why I have no friends.

Oh I’m with you now. EU GDPR and UK GDPR are not the same thing. I thought you were saying it was an EU law pre Bexit.

We are a transparent club. Doug King said so. Loved that Andy Turner said King hadn't spoken to him in 2 years and today wrote King snapped at him when he asked about a Director of Football. No love lost there then.
Also hilarious was that King claimed credit for 22k season tickets and a cup semi-final.

So just say he lost a bollock in a freak cooking accident, why not just say its his ankle?
Reminded me of this
Ottawa Senators general manager Bryan Murray revealed on Friday that Anderson cut the baby finger on his right hand just above the bottom joint.

He did it while cutting a frozen chicken breast at home after Wednesday’s win over Washington.

He had surgery to repair damage to a tendon.

I was told earlier that Sheaf is currently having injections every game just to get through match day. Feels like a ticking time bomb.

It's a nonsense cover act to protect him from criticism.

If it was really true he wouldn't be playing. Really, a midfield of Torp, Rudoni, Eccles can do a job. Probably even perform better.

Get him out the club as soon as possible.

Don't think you have to be Sherlock Holmes to work out that Turner probs isn't gonna be on the owners Xmas Card list this year

OK the idea ITKs have made up an injury to protect him from you. Either way you think an awful lot of yourself.

So the club haven't said anything?

It has nothing to do with what I think of myself or not, or has anything to do with my view of Sheaf either. It is a weird thing to say, and you keep making things up or changing the direction of your arguments a lot recently.

You lack of reading comprehension is not my lack of writing comprehensibility.

I don’t think there’s a link between the reports of Sheaf not being fit and criticism of him, which is almost exclusively from you anyway.

It isn't me that is having a problem here.

It is derived from an EU law pre Brexit, as per all EU regulations they are transposed into domestic law with non material changes in each member state. Post Brexit they had to invent the concept of the UK GDPR as part of the withdrawal act.

“the UK GDPR” means Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27th April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data (General Data Protection Regulation) as it forms part of the law of England and Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland by virtue of section 3 of the European Union (Withdrawal) Act 2018.

So was GDPR needed for the withdrawal agreement? We couldn’t just nuke it now?

yeah, it's an implicit part of the UK - EU Trade and Cooperation Agreement which gives the UK market access.

I assume services type stuff which even the hard Brexiteers wouldn’t pass up. Interesting.

It’s truly the one piece of EU legislation I hate with a passion and it’s the only thing Brexit didn’t get rid of 😂

I find it very hard to believe that an individual would hate GDPR with a passion. It's whole point is to protect the rights and freedoms of individuals with regard to personal data and to stop organisations using your personal data in any way they see fit, even when it is not in your interest.

It really has nothing to do with "hard Brexiteers", there were something like 4800 laws we needed to incorporate into UK law as part of Brexit. Most modern countries will have their own versions of Information Law. The Data Protection Act in the UK predates GDPR by a considerable margin. 1987! It's history also traces back to EU Convention on Human Rights some 70 odd years ago....

Arguably DPDI might have relaxed certain areas to facilitate business in the UK, but that was nuked when Labour won last election. Labour government will now be working on their own version of this.

I used it quite a few times after I retired to stop recruitment agencies sending me emails about jobs. Even then it took a few years for the spam to stop.

It doesn’t stop spam really and companies spend millions and annoy the shit out of the average customer for not much reason tbh. Mostly though it’s the fact that like health and safety and entire industry of overly cautious advisors have popped up to say if your till worker recognises a customer they’ve got to scour their eyes out with a Brillo pad or something.
