There is because where do you stop that?
Did people who went when we signed King all support sex offending?
Did people who went when Robinson was in charge all support a newmarket player investment plan?
Did people who went when McGinnity was suing Nev from GMK all support that action?
You can not support something, but think there is a different way to affect the outcome. Among many arguments there's a perfectly reasonable economic argument to be made that going, and keeping the club alive so it's in a position to move back is one reason to go, and that's not supporting the club being in Northampton.
Why is that sad and selfish? Is it sadder than people in their late 40's and 50's calling each other scabs? I doubt it.
Kind of ironic that a leader of a Supports Trust is saying football isn't really a need and is just a luxury.
Just a question,
Do you not think then, if not one ccfc fan had turned up for these first two games that sisu would have to completely reconsider playing at sixfeilds?
Just to inform you, the owners of ccfc have no interest in the football club. They thought they would be able to get the Ricoh relatively cheap if they owned ccfc. That is how they intended in making there money back. But now there tactics have gone wrong they think they can starve the Ricoh and buy it then.
This is proven by the fact that with all the revenue they are missing out on in terms of just tickets, they could have played at the Ricoh payed the 1.2 million a year rent and had cash to spare.
This is why I refuse to pay to watch my team away from coventry. There is no need for it. We could play in coventry and be better off. If they wanted to build a stadium they could have had a five year lease at the Ricoh and built it. But all there trying to do is starve the Ricoh.
Just look how fisher talks, do you think he cares about you having to travel to a shithole of a ground. I very much doubt it.
you aint half missing the point. Oh and when we start roaming the streets with pitch forks and torches were a mob. Until then were the majority of coventrys support. You aint half missing some entertainment.
We must be collectively the most fickle group of people to ever grace this earth
Really?
We're bottom of the third division with negative points, under a transfer embargo, have no ground in or near our home city to play in and yet our next game was sold out to City fans more than a week before the match, with other fans trying to get tickets into the home parts of the ground.
Doesn't sound that fickle to me.
Gloating ha ha,like it.9k rattling around in a 32k stadium
How can you take such obvious glee from what is happening to our club? Twat.
ha, keep screaming NOPM from your armchair dazzle Fisher and co will leave by christmas
We will never be a united front. The NOPM campaigners are too stubborn to believe there is any other way to rid ourselves of our torrid owners. So the way forward for me is to follow that campaign for the season. Once I can prove it wont work then we have the task of uniting fans and protest properly. In front of SISU's eyes not in Coventry
What's the purpose of the 'only buy tickets from the home club' side campaign?
Look, just cut out the cheap shots.nopm, admirable stuff but these boys(and some are boys from the academy) need our support
And I am doing my bit by supporting and cheering our 11 lads who wear the shirt, purely on footballing terms only.
Where have I said its a luxury stop tells blatant lies nick just because once more I've proved you to be wrong. Look up the definition of both words and educate yourself there's a good lad.
Are you part of the new Patronising Fellow Fans Division? Just wondered.
Nopm is an ideal excuse for those who can't be arsed.
And are you one of the new Joy Diversion fans?
So we don't get any money I think
I've been unable to get to matches on a regular basis for a number of years now due to working on a weekend and supported the team/club financially by buying merchandise for relatives and the odd ticket for a match when I could go. That amounted to about £200 or so a year that the club are not now getting thanks to NOPM. I've supported the Sky Blues for almost 40 years and during that time we've never been homeless until now. We've never played our home matches outside the city and I've never despised an owner of the club more than I do SISU.
:blue:
I don't think it is by any means guaranteed we'd be back in the city if no one went, but I can see SISU having to pump more money into the club as a result. We haven't reached the bottom of Tims lower estimate for attendance at Sixfields, although that may have been for the figure after 3 'home' games. I got the feeling from Tims answers at the forum/Trust Q&A/G Clarke interview that whilst they may have the money to fund the club that they're doing so reluctantly (possibly because ACL haven't gone bust yet). Why is it tedious? People keep justifying nopm etc by saying if nobody went we would be straight back in Coventry as of it is a fact, this is coming from trust people as well but where had it come from?
Well done. NOPM is an ideal excuse for you as you've just explained so succinctly.
There are too many factions and phrases to make any of it work as it should. For example Michael saying that avoid confusion last night was a Keep Cov In Cov event, nothing to do with the Trust. Or Not One Penny More....too confusing, too diluted.
You aint half missing some entertainment.
We must be collectively the most fickle group of people to ever grace this earth
What I want the most is our club to have a home that they own. Until I see a way of the ground being owned by our club and not by someone after making money then I don't want it sold to them. I don't want it sold to someone nobody trusts. This is why I am behind ACL and not SISU. If they gave me a reason to start trusting them again I would have a rethink. This has not happened so far.
How can a group of fans be fickle and stubborn at the same time?
The only fickle fans are ones such as yourself who supported nopm and gave up after we beat the mighty Carlisle.
