14 years ago today my Grandad passed away. His last match was Strachan's last game. I promised him I would see the Sky Blues return to the Premiership for him (we were relegated 6 months previously). Hopefully this season is the start of that journey.
Thoughts are with you today.

Forecast is pretty good for later this afternoon / still blustery but mild and some sunny spells.

Lameiras needs some game time to toughen him up - bring on JOB as the supersub - he wont mind for this one

Going to be strange tomorrow.

Either went to games with my Dad or - if he wasn't up to it - rang him on the way home to tell him about the game.

He passed away yesterday.

Saw his first City game in 1933, so he saw a few ups and downs.

Sorry to hear your sad news DTD. Here's hoping for a win today...your old man will be singing the Sky Blue Song upstairs.

Condolences to you and your family.

I've done the thing that I tell everyone not to do.

Put Cov in your acca.

We're therefore going to lose and Cov will be the only one out of 8 to let me down.

I also broke this rule last Saturday and again on Tuesday. I've done it again today, I'm hoping for the same outcome......

Certainly looks like Burge the way they are training.

Cole must be injured. He's not going to get fitter by sitting out.

Alternatively, Villa might not be bothered about him playing but maybe he's thinking of later in the season and not being here. If he's at a club and they progress to the latter stages, he'd not be available having played today.

I'm going with this theory as opposed to injury.

The Fortune against Shrewsbury was a step above. The Fortune since has struggled. Let's hope the former is on show today.

My worry is the potential lack of movement, Fortune won't run behind like AA and RL is more of a creator than a runner, so ultimately we are relying on JOB and JM to create space and stretch their defence.
